Gabrielle Lupin (Remus Lupin's Daughter) Book Two

I get off the train and walk around looking for Dad only to find him nowhere. I leave the platform and look among the muggles but still no luck. Great I'm stranded in London, just my luck. Ah the leaky cauldron. Where is it? London, that's all I know but London is a big place. I decide to walk to a side alley way where I can shrink all my luggage and disguise it into a normally rucksacks along. Lucky Misty already flew home last night. I keep walking and when I get half way down a random street a purple double decker bus appears out of no where and stops next to me. I look at it confused and the man steps off the back and smirks at me

"welcome to the Knight Bus, emergency transport for the stranded witch or wizard my name is Stan Shunpike and I will be your conductor for this afternoon" He finishes reading off a card and places it back into his jacket

"The Leaky Cauldron please" I smile politely and go to grab my trunk but he stops me and takes it for me.

I get on and take a seat on an empty bed and remain silent for the Journey. I pay Stan then he takes my trunk out for me. I drag it into the Leaky Cauldron going to the fireplace where I use the Floo network to get home.

I get home to an empty house, I was expecting that. I let misty in and I make myself some chicken and bacon sandwiches. I sit at the table and eat in silence, except for the clock ticking being the only sound. This is very depressing, it's like a dementor has its cloak over the house. I go to the living room and watch willy wonky and the chocolate factory.

Half way through smoke appears and Dad walks out of the fireplace. He notices me and looks startled to see me sat there.

"Gabbi? You're meant to be at Hogwarts, why are you here?"

"It's Christmas break"

"That's next week, get back to Hogwarts or Dumbledore won't be happy"

"Look at the calendar if you don't believe me. I'm surprised you even remembered my name or who I am" I frown as I get up and walk off out the room

"Of course I remember you"

"Then why didn't you reply my letters? I've been writing every week since October and you never replied any of them"

His face drops and pales, I turn on my heels and run upstairs as I get tears, I go to my room and curl up

"Gabbi? Sweetheart don't cry. I'm sorry"

"Why didn't you reply"

"I was really busy with the order protecting Sirius, I went to write but something would come up. I'm sorry"

"You made me feel like I did something wrong, I felt like you've left me just like Mum did"

He pulls me into his lap and hugs me tightly "I would never leave you, I love you and will always love you. I was going to write the other week but I didn't know if our letters could somehow be traced so they'd find out about Sirius"

"You're not at Hogwarts, how did you know if I was ok or not? Did you even read my letters"

"Yes, every single one of them. I always read them before going to sleep. I knew Severus would be looking out for you"

I finally give in and wrap my arms around him hugging him back.

"Right come on dry those tears, you can have an early Christmas present"

"What is it?" I smile

"I think your room needs redecorating, seeing as it's the same as it was when I decorated when you moved in"

"I'm so excited, I've wanted to upgrade my room for a very long time. I have it all planned out on how I want it" I get off the bed and go over to my book shelf grabbing my purple note book and opening it to the page where I had it all written down.

Dad looks at it and nods ok before he leaves the room and returns back with his wand. I stand by the door way and watch as everything changes into my dream bedroom (Photo at top)

"It's perfect" I smile

"Good, right let's go and decorate the house for Christmas then we can make cookies with no magic"

This is going to be a good Christmas, I've lost 30 sickles but ah well. I could always lie to Severus and get 30 sickles out of him.
