Time Skip >> Three Days (Your POV)
I quickly adjusted my hair, and pulled up my shirt, trying to cover my chest as much as possible. Today's the day Carl gets to take me out, and considering my past experiences with him... Let's just say I'm trying to avoid any unnecessary contact.
Suddenly I heard the chime of my cell phone. I picked it up seeing a new message.
Carl - You ready?
Carl - Hurry up.
You - Give me a minute.
Carl - No, get out here.
You - Jeez, hold on. Will ya?
Carl - C'mon, Princess. I'm not waiting all night.
You - Shut up, I'm coming!
I stuffed my phone into my back pocket and started down the stairs. My parents and I still aren't on the best terms, but I figured if I kept staying at Finn's house it would only worsen the situation. I almost made it out the door, before...
"Where are you going?" My stepfather asked, coming down the stairs.
"Out."
"Out where?" He smiled.
"None of your damn business, Russell," I said, slamming the door behind me. I marched outside to see Carl standing outside a car, waiting for me.
"Hey, Princess." He smirked. I rolled my eyes at his obvious attempt to be flirty.
"Hi, Carl..."
He opened the car door for me, I climbed in. I took a few deep breaths. Jesus, I was so nervous. Why was I so nervous? It was just Carl. Besides, I'm only here because this is how he wanted Finn and I to pay him back for him getting me out of trouble.
Suddenly my phone went off again. I pulled it out to see another new message.
Finn - Don't worry, Hotness. He's dropping you off at my place after. I have a surprise for you. <3
The uneasiness in me melted away, and I felt a smile began to tug on the corners of my mouth.
You - Oooh, what is it?
Finn - Lol. If I told you, then it wouldn't be a surprise.
You - Okayyyy. I love you, Finnie.
Finn - I love you too, Hotness. See you in a little?
You - Yeah, babe.
I put my phone back in my pocket, Carl suddenly climbed into the car.
"What are you smiling about?" He asked, curiously.
"Nothing," I replied quickly. "So where are we going?" I said, changing the subject.
"The warehouse."
"Really? You're taking me out to my boyfriends hideaway?" I said letting out a few laughs. He rolled his eyes.
"Shut up, and enjoy the ride." He scoffed.
He started up the car, I looked out the window to see my mother and stepfather standing on the porch with angry expressions. I quickly turned on the radio, playing as loud as it would go, then rolled down the window. I stuck half my body out the window and smirked.
