"Good pilgrim, you do wrong your hand too mu-" Vanessa interrupts herself. "I'm sorry, but it kills me that they almost had a chance of ending up together and living happily ever after. But they don't, just because of time taking over love."
"You never read this book before, have you?" I question. She chuckles. "Yeah, I get what you mean. Romeo and Juliet almost ended up together. I feel like every sentence with the word "almost" is most likely a sad sentence," I say.
"He almost stayed. She almost lived. It almost worked," She says, giving some examples.
"We almost kissed yesterday," I remind her, looking into her eyes with all my heart. She looks at me with the same genuine eyes. I lean in. She leans in. We kiss. For what seems like seconds, she pulls back. We smile at each other. The minute our lips separated, I missed the warm feeling.
"We almost made out," I smirk. She laughs and leans in. We make out.
