She walked back into her room. "I'm back, little ones," she said as Ake and the other came out from under the bed. "Here you go, eat up then you must leave, I have to go to sleep." she explained as she handed them the food. "What in the world is that!" he said as he threw the drumstick at her. Sophie quickly moved out of the way. "Hey, what's your problem? You asked for chicken, that's chicken!" she whispered loudly "That's not chicken, not blood, no visible veins, who are you trying to fool sister!" yelled Ake
"Wait, are you telling me, you prefer uncooked chicken, to fried chicken, are you crazy. That'll get you sick. Look, I don't have any raw meat, I'm bringing you some hot dogs, take or leave, then I'm going to sleep. I'll be right back." said Sophie as she walked out of her room and back to the kitchen. "Raw meat! Who eats raw meat?
They are weird looking creatures, maybe that's why." she told herself as she grabbed a pack of hot dogs and defrost them in the microwave. She then headed back to her room. She entered her bedroom and the little monsters came out from hiding. They all had smiles but when they saw what she brought them, their whole expression changed. "So, now what's that?" asked Ake with a disappointed look.
"What do you think it is? Hot dogs! Look, take it or leave it, I can go back out there, my patients should be back soon." she explained "This is not a hot dog! Where are the feet, the tail, this is not a hot dog. It has a long body, but where's the rest?" asked Che "What? Are you crazy? I didn't bring you a real dog! "Look at, or stay hungry, I going to bed, I'm not getting in any more trouble," she said as she got in her bed and got comfortable. The four little monsters looked at each other. Sophie kind of scared them a little. So they each grabbed a hot dog and went back into the hole.
Then, Sophie, had her patient coming down the steps. She looks over at the hole and noticed that it was visible. She quickly ripped a page out of her notebook and placed it over the hole. Then she went back to bed. Her mother opens her door, looked in and said good night as she closed the door.
The night was a long one and the towns folks were finally able to rest. They were glad that the worst was over. Like the rest, there were a couple of men that decided not to sleep. The Jordans brothers had already dug their house out, so they weren't staying in their bomb shelter. They were comfortable in their house. They began to go looting, The towns folks were still not done with their properties. So they figured they'll help themselves to whatever they wanted. Frank and Felix Jordans grabbed a couple of shovels. Then Bill and Lenny grabbed a couple of bags and a butter knife.
It was dark and cold outside. The ice and snow that once had melted were now frozen again. This made it difficult for men to walk. So they slipped and sly first to the neighbor's house. They made moonshine, the best in town. Although the property was covered with snow and ice, the only visible part of the house was the roof. Frank and Felix new the located of the window.
They began to dig near the first-floor side window. They took turns digging for a while, until they saw, the window frame and then the shutters. "We got it!" said Frank as he hi-five his brother Lenny and Bill began to pry the window open with the butter knife. Once they had it jar opened, Frank finished opening it with his two hands. The men went into the house. Frank went straight to the basement, where he knew they kept the moonshine. The others searched the rest of the house. They took food, money, jewelry, anything they feel they need they took.
They try to lease the property clean, the way they found it, make it look like no one broke inside and rob the place. First Felix went out the window first. Then the others handed him the bags and the four gallons of moonshine. Felix placed the thing on the ground while he helped the others out of the window. When they were all safely out of their neighbor's house, they each grabbed a gallon of moonshine and a bag filled with stolen items. Then Bill and Lenny began to put the snow back to block the window, try to make it look like it once was. When Bill and Lenny were done, they threw the bags over their shoulder and back to their house they went.
Frank had a secret spot under the house that he kept his stolen goods. The trapdoor in the bathroom, under the rug, led him right to the steps of the storage room. They quickly pour some of the liquor into an empty bottle they had.
Then they took out the crackers and cheese. Everything else they place inside the storage unit. Then they each took a shot of liquor and a piece of cheese. "One down and plenty to go!" said Frank as she offered a cheer with a devious smile. They did two more houses that night. When the sun began to rise, they headed back home. They were pretty hammered, so where ever they last were sitting, that's where they were sleeping.
The rooster began to sing it's morning song, as the other animals of the forest began to return to their homes.
