"SO, TWENTY THOUSAND CALORIES A DAY?" I asked for the third time, laying on my bed and staring at the plain ceiling with Wally. When he first told me, it made sense considering how his body operated, but it was still shocking.

"Yeah, pretty much," Wally shrugged, giving the same answer he had the last two times. This time, however, he turned his head to face me, "What about you? What do you like to eat?"

"I don't really have a preference, as long as it's good. Food is food."

"What do you say we go out and get some good together then? There's this great Italian place in Central City," Wally turned to his side so he was facing me entirely.

"What, like a date?" I asked, turning to face him directly. The close proximity caused blushes to form on both of our faces, painfully visible in the bright lights of my room.

"I mean, it doesn't have to be if you don't want it to. It could just be two friends going out for food since you've never been out before," Wally chuckled nervously, shifting away.

"No! I mean, I'd love to go to the restaurant with you," I cleared my throat awkwardly, "On a date."

"Really?" Wally speeded off the bed and stood in front of me, an adorable grin on his freckled face, "That's great! I'll pick you up at seven, dress nice!"

In a blur of yellow, he left the room in a blur. I sat back down on my bed, letting out a breath. That really just happened, Wally West, the former flirt of the team, just asked me out. I fell back on my bed, running a hand through my hair and closing my eyes.

I thought back to what Richard said, that I shouldn't break Wally's heart. Honestly, I had no plans of doing so. Everything was falling into place, despite the struggle inside and outside of my mind.

My thoughts drifted to M'gann and Artemis, they were right. God, they were never going to let me live it down. I would have to make sure they didn't find out right away, relying on the hope M'gann didn't read my mind.

Checking the time on my League Phone, it was five-thirty. Perfect. I threw my phone on the bed and entered my bathroom, turning on the shower and stripping off my clothes so I could step in. While I was lathering my hair with shampoo, I hummed under my breath. My spirits were high.

When I got out of the shower I wrapped myself in a towel. Opening the door, M'gann was waiting right outside, falling forward like she was leaning against the door.

"Were you listening to me?"

"Well, Conner heard you humming with his super hearing, and you know, it would have been weird for him to listen so I did! You have a really pretty voice, even if you weren't singing singing."
