Chapter One
Sasha | Saturday | 8:53 am
New city means making new friends and thats not something I'm good at.
Mom: Oh cheer up sweetie, I promise everything will be fine. The new house is beautiful.
Me: Still cant see why I couldn't have stayed with dad.
My parents got a divorce, my father stayed in New Orleans and my mother and I moved to Ann Harbor, Michigan. It's the sixth largest city in Michigan and with a population of One hundred thirtenn thousand- nine hundred and thirty-four (113,934) recorded in two thousand and ten (2010) I take it this city is pretty small.
Mom: Because your father will be traveling alot and we thought it would be best for you to stay in one place and finish out your school year.
Me: Yeah whatever. I know you have a fear of being alone mom. That's the only reason why you took me with you but that's okay because I loved you more than dad anyways.
She laughed and pulled into a driveway that led up to a two level house.
Me: Wow.
Mom: Beautiful huh. I was hoping you and I could plant flowers again.
Me: Of course!
Mom: Your jeep will be here by the end of the day. Okay?
I nodded and leaned over hugging her.
Me: This is gorgeous.
Mom: Go explore and find your room.
Me: Okay.
She handed me my keys and instead of my old house key it was a new one that had a princess cover thing. I got out the car and ran up to the house. I unlocked the door and stepped into the house. As soon as you opened the door there were carpeted steps leading to the second level and a white banister. I went to the right and it led me to a dining room. I went through there and it led me to the kitchen. I went to the glass back door and saw a pretty big back yard with a in-ground pool that hasnt been set up yet. I went back out and to where I'm guessing the living room was. It was a pretty big area so Im guessing this was the living room. There was a small hall so I went down it opened the door to find a half bathroom.
I ran up the steps and opened the first door I saw which was a bathroom. It wasnt big but it wasnt small either. I went to the door next to it and found a bedroom it didn't have its own bathroom but the closet was somewhat big. I went to the next door and saw a bigger room with its own bathroom and a walk in closet. It didnt have a balcony but neither did the other room. I want this room.
Me: I FOUND MY ROOM!
I dropped my keys on the counter in the bathroom. Mom peeked her head into my room.
Mom: The movers are here.
Me: Okay.
We went downstairs and told the movers where to put everything.
An hour later everything was moved into the house. All my mother and I had to do was move our stuff where we wanted and unpack our boxes.
