Mateo had texted me that he was on his way twenty minutes ago, I've just been waiting on him to get here.

I was so caught up in the moment earlier that I embarrassed myself in front of Mateo. I probably made myself off to be a horn dog when I was just horny at that time.

My phone vibrated and I grabbed it thinking that it was Mateo but instead it was Gina. I opened it and saw a group chat with me, Gina, Da'Lani and two of Gina's friends; Taylor and Megan.

Gina: It's tonight girls! My place at 7:00!

What was tonight?

Megan replied at the same time as Taylor.

Megan : OMG! It's been like so long. Can't wait!

Taylor: I will totally be there.

I replied.

Me : Lol what's tonight ?

Taylor : Omg, you don't know?

Me : Apparently not lol.

Megan: Every year Gina has a slumber party with a few of the girls from school. Never many though. It's usually Gina, me, Taylor, Da'Lani and Kamia. She rarely invites new people. Looks like it's your lucky year. Xoxo.

Me : Oh lol. What usually happens there ?

Da'Lani : Gotta come and see! Promise it's always fun though. I'm going, are you?

Hm. Am I going? What if I'm not done with Mateo by then?

Me : I can try lol. Mateo and I are doing something today. I maybe late, is that okay?

Gina: Hell yeah! You get to tell us all about it when you get here!

I laughed and replied.

Me : Okay yall. Where is it at?

Taylor : It's always at Gina's house.

Me : Okay but I don't got the addy.

Gina : 2840 Everwoody Circle.

Me : Okay, I'll see ya then lol.

Megan : Okay, can't wait to meet you! Xoxo!

Hm, one of Gina's friends were happy to see me, shocker. Most of Gina's friends don't like me and I don't know why.

Me : Same!

I put my phone away into my crossbody as I heard a knock on the door. I got off the couch and opened the door.

Me: About time you got here, I was beginning to think you stood me up.

He chuckled.

Mateo: I'd never do that to you. Maybe to other girls.

I playfully rolled my eyes.

Mateo: So, are you ready?

Me: I am.

I grabbed my keys off the door side table and closed the door behind me. I locked it before grabbing Mateo's awaiting hand.

Mateo: Where you tryna go?

Me: To nearly every nerdy place around this small ass city.

He chuckled and opened the door for me.

Me: Thank you.

Mateo: Your welcome, nerd.

Before I had a chance to say something, he decided to be an idiot and close the door with a smirk on his face. He went around the other side with a smirk on his face. When he got ready to open the door, I locked him and gave him a smirk of my own but his smart ass just happened to have his keys. He held them up in eye sight and faked a gasp as he hit the unlock button which unlocked the doors. He faked another one as he opened the door and got in the car.
