Chapter Eighteen

I had a few pit stops to make before I headed to Gina's for the night.

I was honestly surprised that Gina invited Sasha to her slumber night or whatever you want to call it. I mean yeah, Gina likes her but I didn't know it was so much that she invited her to her slumber night. Gina only invites a certain number of girls, and that number never changed, until tonight. Kamia and Sasha in the same room? That's gonna be crazy because Kamia already don't like Sasha and the fact that Sasha is with Mateo right now, is going to bring hell from Kamia when she finds out.

I grabbed my bags and headed downstairs where my dad was with Shawn watching the game.

Shawn: Leaving now?

Me: Yeah. Be back in the morning.

Dad: Where are you going?

I sighed.

Me: To Gina's. She's holding her annual slumber night tonight.

Dad: Oh that's right. You did tell me that earlier.

Me: Yes I did daddy.

Dad: Look in my wallet and grab a twenty.

I grabbed the wallet and grabbed a twenty from the stack that was in his wallet and shoved it in my pocket.

Me: Thanks daddy.

Dad: Your welcome babygirl. Be safe and have fun. Text me letting you know you got there and call me in the morning.

Me: Okay. Love you.

Dad: Love you too.

He slapped Shawn in the back of the head whose eyes were still glued to the tv.

Shawn: Oh uh be safe, call, love you uh bye.

Dad and I laughed.

Me: Okay I'm leaving now. Love you guys too.

I headed out the door after kissing daddy's cheek and smacking shawn in the back of the head. I got in my Honda Civic and started the engine. I had to stop by Mateo's because Ayleo called me over for something. I don't know what and I don't know why. His exact words were "can you stop by here before heading to Gina's? It's important." And because I'd do anything for my crush, I told him yes.

I pulled into their driveway and parked. I got out and went up the steps. I rang the doorbell and Ayleo answered it shortly after. I stepped in and turned around to face him.

Me: So wassup, you called me over?

My heart was racing just from being in the same house alone with him.

Ayleo: I need some advice and you and Sasha are the only ones who give out good ones.

Me: Okay, about?

I followed him into the living room and sat on the couch beside him.

Ayleo: Remember I told you about the girl I liked?

I inwardly rolled my eyes.

I just knew my night was about to get messed up. I didn't feel like hearing about his crush because I knew it wasn't me.

Me: Yeah, what about her?

Ayleo: Should I tell her that I have a crush on her?

Me: Well, that depends, do you think Gina will find out?

Ayleo: Nah. I know she wouldn't tell Gina.

Me: What makes you say that?

Ayleo: Gina and her are friends.
