Ch 7: Training!

Riko's POV
Later that day, the people of Team 7 ventured through the nearby forest. Naruto who's a ball of energy went first as I watched him lead the team. I also watched as Kakashi walked behind him with the help of crutches. Sakura who walked in front of me, lingered next to Sasuke as she attempted to flirt. Even though Sasuke completely ignored her, I still glared daggers at his back.

That should be me, not Sasuke!

Frowning, I pushed my way between them and walked ahead, not wanting to see the girl I like flirt with my love rival. Pushing the burning sensation of jealousy down to the core of my stomach, I ignore them and focus on Kakashi who's limping.

Eventually, we all arrive in a small clearing. Looking around, I see nothing that's important, besides trees. I guess those are important, I mean they do create oxygen, nothing drastic. I then watch as Kakashi walks ahead before turning to us.

"Okay, we will now start the training," he informs us.

"Hell yeah," Naruto screeches, burning with determination.

"Okay, before that. I want to talk to you about the Shinobi ability, chakra," Kakashi tells us.

Naruto stops in his movements, confusion on his face as he squints. "Uhm, what's catra," he asks.

I facepalm, really?

"You're a ninja and you don't know that!? What did you learn in school," Sakura screams, glaring daggers at Naruto.

Geez, how can someone so pink be so scary?

"Hehe, I used to sleep during the hard classes," the blonde explains.

"Oh, Naruto," I mutter, shaking my head.

Kakashi sighs. "Fine, go ahead Sakura," he directs to the pinkette.

Since she's going to explain the meaning of chakra and how it works, I ignore her. Already knowing what chakra is, I space out while looking up at the clouds. Watching as they slowly swim across the blue sky, my mind begins to think random things.

What if the sky was actually an ocean and the clouds were islands? Maybe boats! Are clouds actually fluffy and soft, or are they wet and moist? If why the sky is blue and  reflects the color of the ocean, is it actually just a big mirror? If the world is round, then why doesn't the water spill out?

I get brought back to the world of reality as I hear Naruto shout. Snapping back, I turn to listen in the conversation.

"Hey! I didn't understand that complicated explanation, but isn't that something you learn with your body," he asks, referring to chakra.

"Naruto's right! We can already use jutsu," Sasuke agrees which surprises me. He never agrees with Naruto.

The world is ending!

I shake my head at my nonsense. "Wrong! You can use chakra, but you can't control it. I'm guessing that this training is going to teach us exactly that," I say, speaking up.

"Riko's right. You can't use chakra properly yet," Kakashi agrees.

"What," Naruto exclaims.

"Well listen. As Sakura said earlier, to release chakra means to bring out physical and spiritual energy and mix them together within your body. You guys are not using chakra efficiently yet. Even if you are able to release a high amount of chakra, unless you control it properly, the jutsu will be weakened or not work at all. And by wasting energy, you won't be able to fight as long. These kinds of weaknesses will appear," Kakashi explains, going into deep details.
