TYING HER LAVENDER hair into a high ponytail, she then places the headband around her head, securing it to place. Jewels of ruby eyes shine with excitement which make them dazzle like the original diamond. With a content smile, the young girl looks down to her dress with pride. The shade of pink blush is something that the Kiyomi woman wear for pride, a tradition to show their passion of the clan. Men wear a darker shade of pink, almost like a color of rouge. The color pink represents the universal love of oneself and of others. It is a color of compassion, of understanding, and of hope. It is a color they wear to show and express the affection for their clan, for their family.
With the isgnia of a simple white lotus flower, which means purity or devotion, Riko stands with confidence. With this last month's training, with Gai Sensei and with the teachings of her black journal, she's ready for anything. Of course, she's not arrogant with her newfound strength, she's still open to the other competitor's strength and skills.
Besides Akano, who's the Kiyomi's opponent, could have gotten stronger within the month. The former made a promise to kill the latter during the second exam, and the very words of their last encounter still shakes the Kiyomi. Besides, during this month when she was training, and tried to sleep, she couldn't keep her eyes closed. The haunting images of all her kills replayed behind her eyelids. Their pleas were screaming in her ears making any sense of sleep wash away.
Of course, with the lack of sleep, Riko trained with the free time until she actually dropped unconscious.
Sighing, the excitement dwindles from her eyes, and the Kiyomi takes this chance to relax and to steel her nerves. She knows she's strong, but her intimidation for Akano is stronger. She literally witnessed the orange haired Kunoichi cut down her own teammate without a second's hesitation. Though, just as she's scared, she's equally determined.
Walking out of her room, all ready and prepared, she makes her way into the main room. As she reaches her destination, Riko finds her father dressed in his rouge colored kimono and a pair of black hakama pants. His hair is tied, not in his usual high ponytail, but in a top knot along with the Kiyomi heir hair pin.
"Good morning, Father," she smiles up at him.
"Good morning, Riko," Ren smiles down at his daughter. "Are you prepared for today's events?"
"Hai. This past month, I trained with Gai Sensei in taijutsu, and perfected a few of our clan's techniques. I'm ready," the girl assures.
"Whether you win or lose against your opponent, I'll be proud of you," the man dates, smiling down at his daughter. "You've grown a lot since you first became Genin, and I know these past events have been difficult for you, but you're strong enough to get through it. I believe in you."
She smiles, genuinely touched by his words. "Thanks, dad. I'll do my best!" She states while raising a determined fist.
After that, it didn't take the two Kiyomi's long to make their way into the arena. With some final words of encouragement, father and daughter parted into different directions. As Ren walked towards the stands where a few other Kiyomi members were seated, Riko took her place at the center of the arena.
