The Alpha/Beta who rejected me

Ashley POV

My grandmother and I arrive at Sea-Tec we walk over to baggage claim and get my stuff.  When we walk outside we are greeted by a big black guy he must be at least six foot tall. His arms are ridiculously large I think he can crack a walnut in between his biceps and forearms. 

I'm just staring at him he's freakishly big I've never seen anyone so big before he has a tribal tattoo that covers his whole left arm. I walk up to him and touch his right arm and say "is that even legal". He just laughs at me his laugh reaches all the way to his eyes so  I know he thought it was funny. I can see his teeth when he smiles there really pretty and white.  He says "kid you keep making me laugh and we will get along perfectly".

He asked us to follow him to the car he was taking us home.  "Alpha Hicks is waiting for your arrival."  I turned to my grandmother and said "who's Alpha Hicks" she reply's know one dear "just get into the car I need to make a phone call". I got into the Black SUV and waited.

I can see my grandmother on the phone with someone she's pissed her hands are flaying in the air it looks like she's giving them a good tongue lashing I giggle to myself a little it's kind of funny.

She hangs up the phone and enters the car she huffs a little bit and  say's we have a new home now. I just look at her from the corner of my eye and smile. I would hate to see what the person on the other side of that phone call looks like.

The drive was long but I didn't complain I just took in the sites of  Washington its very beautiful.  We arrive at a gated community at least that's what it looked like.  I look out of my window and I can see all these really nice home as we are passing them by I see a lot of kids running around as well.

We've passed all the homes and all I see are tree's then I see it. It's a two story cottage looking house it's beautiful I look at my grandmother and ask her "Is this where we are going to live?" She nods yes.

When the driver stops the car I jump out and started to run all around the house the house but when I get to the back part of it I stop. There's this lake and its beautiful the way the sun is shinning on it makes me want to go for a swim. I know I know how to swim because of physical therapy in the swimming pool with Carlos. 

I hear people talking I run back over to the front of the house and see another big guy what the hell so these guys eat. He stand at least six-four I think and has the same tribal tattoo on his left arm as the driver. This guys is older than the driver and isn't smiling he has a very serious facial expression on his face but he has really soft brown eyes. I think to myself this should be fun.

My grandmother introduces us to each other Alpha Hicks this is my granddaughter Ashley. Ashley this is Alpha Hicks I shake his hand my hand looks so small in his it looks like he's going to swallow it up. Here goes nothing "So what is it that you guys eat because you guys are huge?"

He looks at the driver then to my grandmother and finally me again he's giving me the stone face look like I just made him angry.  But I see it there's a sparkle in his eye so I raise my eyebrow and say "Well!  You know its rude to not answer when someone asked you a question."

He turns to look at the driver and they both burst out into laughter.
