Uncontrollable Powers

Mitch...

When I got home after cuddling with Kaoru, I got scolded by Brick. Man! He's bossy... Even dad scolded me. What's wrong with you guys?! You're supposed to let me go out during the weekend! Not scold me when I go!

I guess they got home early because usually they get home around 4:00 from the grocery store. They're early.

Now, it has been a month ever since we got together. And, it's our birthday today. So my dad invited all of our friends because he's gonna throw a big b-day party.

We're now 18 years old, yay... 8 years with powers and we still haven't controlled them yet.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!" our guests yelled as we stood at the staircase.

"Thanks..." we said, smiling.

Later on, we - wait no, scratch that, THEY were on our dancefloor, dancing while I have to sit down at one of the chairs, watching them have more fun.

"Aren't you going to dance?" Kaoru asked me as she sat down next to me.

"Can't. One wrong move, my powers will be out," I whispered. We still kept the powers secret from the others, even to Momoko and Miyako. Only Kaoru knows about it.

"I need to do something," Kaoru said, standing up and walking out the front door.

I wonder what she's doing out there... I thought.

After about 20 minutes, she's still outside. I wonder what she's up to. I couldn't take it anymore so I got up, and went outside.

Once outside, I couldn't see Kaoru anywhere. Plus, it's dark, so I couldn't see that much.

"Mitch, stay away," I heard. It sounds like Kaoru.

I heard the voice somewhere in the alley next to our house. I went in, and saw Kaoru with... Mitch?

I actually met Mitch right after Kaoru and I became sweethearts. He said that Kaoru is his and forever his. Do you know how much he irritates me? Grrrr...

"Mitch! Stay. Away. From. ME!!" Kaoru demanded.

"Why? So you could hang out with that Butch? Not a chance," he said, smirking while pulling Kaoru closer to him.

"Mitch!"

"Leave her alone Mitch!" I said, showing myself.

"Butch! A little help," Kaoru said.

"Well, well, well. If it isn't Butch, the stealer," Mitch said, glaring at me.

I glared back at him. I can see Kaoru gulp a bit. I'll take that as a sign that she's saying to control my powers. Mitch pulls her closer to him. I glared at him more.

I used my speed to slap Mitch from behind, causing him to let go of Kaoru.

The only power I like is my super speed. So, I don't waste that much time. I can finish one task less than a second.

"What the...?!" Mitch said.

I grabbed Kaoru's hand and pulled her close to the front door.

"Let's just go in," I said. We were about to go to the front door when Mitch stopped us by hitting me in the back of my head. That *******! Oh, now I'm pissed. He's dead!
