(Zulaykha)
I sit in my second period class. I sigh as I think about what Yuki told me...
Suicide... That's so sad...
"Zulaykha!" the teacher calls.
I quickly shake my head, snapping out of my thoughts.
"Are you still with us?" Mr. Peterson asks. The class laughs. I sigh and roll my eyes.
"Uh... Yes, Mr. Peterson." I say.
"Good." he says. "We were just learning about religion and this is just the perfect topic for you."
I shyly start to tug on my hijab.
"Why don't you come up to the board and write down the five pillars of Islam?" he says, holding a marker out for me.
Did he just assume my religion? A lot of religions have headscarves, not just Islam... Whatever...
I get out of my seat and head over to the board. I grab the marker from Mr. Peterson, but before I can write anything...
"He's having a heart attack!" someone screams at the top of their lungs as a boy sitting next to them suffered in pain and agony.
Then... a Muslim girl comes up to the board and finishes writing the five pillars of Islam...
