(Zulaykha)
We left the restaurant and headed to the car.
"That waitress was totally into me!" Ziyad said. I rolled my eyes.
"Into you? You can't even grow a beard!" I said with a laugh.
"Oh, come on! Don't remind me of how much of a failure I am!" Ziyad said with a laugh.
I have to admit, spending time with Ziyad did get my mind off of everything.
We hopped into the car and headed home.
~
"Ah. Home, sweet home." Ziyad said as he unlocked the door. He tried to turn the key. "Huh? It's open?"
He swung the door open, revealing none other than our cousin, Yasin...
Yasin was sitting down at the table in the kitchen, eating leftover pizza that we had ordered last night.
"Yasin?!" Ziyad said. "How did you get in?"
"Yasir let me in..." Yasin spoke with a mouth full of pizza.
"What? How did Yasir get in?!" Ziyad asked.
Yasir is our other cousin, Yasin's older brother. Yasir is 17 and Yasin is 16.
"Uhhh... The window." Yasir said as he entered the room.
"Why are you guys here?" Ziyad asked.
"I don't know why Yasir is here, but I'm here to retrieve my wife." Yasin said as he took another bite of pizza.
I rolled my eyes. "I'm not marrying you, Yasin." I said.
"Uhhh... Not you, Zu-YUCK-a." Yasin snapped. "I'm talking about this pizza! Ummm... But you being my wife is good too..." Yasin added with a smirk.
"Yasin!" Yasir yelled. "Lower your gaze, dude!"
"Why couldn't you just eat at your own house?" Ziyad asked.
"Ummm... Because we don't have cold pizza. Duh!" Yasin said.
