(Zulaykha)
We arrived at T.G.I Friday's. As we walked in, there was a big scene.
"Are you serious?!" a man yelled. "I can't even enjoy a steak at my favorite restaurant because they serve halal meat!"
"Please, sir, calm down! We don't do anything to the meat! It still tastes the same!" a waitress said.
"You don't have to explain to him, Sarah." said the manager. "We want to attract Muslim customers as well as non-Muslim customers. Unlike some uneducated people who discriminate... Those people aren't welcomed here. If you were educated, you would know that halal meat is literally meat that butchers sacrifice to God. Nothing happens to the taste or anything. Now, goodbye and good day to you."
Ziyad smiled at the manager as we waited to be seated. The manager looked at us and smiled.
"Ah. Just what I like to see! A pair of lovely Muslims!" the manager said. "You know, we made this decision because we didn't like the fact that Muslims don't usually go out to eat because no one serves halal meat. So we decided to be the first! You are always welcomed here!"
Ziyad smiled and shook the manager's hand. "Thank you so much, sir! Peace be upon you!" Ziyad said.
"Now, Sarah, treat these customers with unconditional respect!" the manager said and with that, he left.
The waitress smiled at us. "Hi! My name is Sarah! I will be your waitress today. Follow me to your seats!"
