Chapter 36

Jungkook's POV

I came back from Kogane Prison and the first thing that I noticed was the gate being closed.

I was quite surpirsed to see Junhoe opening the gate for me.

"Junhoe? Shouldn't you be with your mother at the hospital?" I asked.

"Yeah I don't know. Mr. Min called me back and told me not to let anyone leave. And he wants to held a meeting later." he answered.

I nodded and entered the building, thinking about what was going on.

On the floor I spotted some blood stains and I knew that Yoongi must have caught someone.

I thought and thought until I decided to ask Jimin and Sadako.

I knocked on their door and it took some seconds for Jimin to answer.

"It's me. Jungkook!" I called and a pale looking Sadako let me in.

"Someone got captured. It must be someone involved in this action." I said not wanting to lose time.

"I already informed my Boss but I don't know what happened later." Jimin commented.

We were both afraid of losing too much time so we talked that fast that Sadako couldn't speak up.

"As far as I know Yoongi he would never let go of this that easily. He would most probably interrogate everyone one by one. We need to avoid any possible mistake." I explained.

Jimin began to tell me all details of his plan before. "I used the excuse to bring Kagesa JangGun some Zitan wood to go to TaePyeongRo but Hoseok didn't let me. So I killed two agents to sneak in."

Mentioning that, Sadako hastily added. "Jimin's worried that he lost one of his buttons at that time. If the button is in Yoongi's hands right now..."

I looked at Jimin's jacket and there was indeed a button missing.

If their disguise gets revealed I would be in danger, too.

"Please come to my office and take some thread and a needle. I think I also have a button like this." I suggested.

Sadako was relieved and followed me. I opened the closet and found the jacket I was searching. I plugged on the button and Sadako confirmed that it was indeed the same button as those on Jimin's jacket.

"I don't know how much Hoseok heard from our  conversation but since he and his people would surround at TaePyongRo, it means that he must have heard this destination. When Yoongi asks us about that we need to arrange the story in advance."

"When Min Yoongi asks, I will say that I've been complaining to you. That recently Jimin often goes to TaePyeongRo and has some contact with a woman, that I suspect him to be cheating on me." she suggested and I nooded.

"If Yoongi asks for more details you can tell him more dates where Jimin went to TaePyeongRo. Jimin could explain that he didn't tell you because it was some business for Kagesa JangGun and that made you suspect him." I explained and Sadako agreed.

"Now it must be the real challenge for you and me. Be careful." I told her and she nodded.

Yoongi's POV

"You must have heard that everyone who ends up here have only two ways. Confess or death." I whispered to the tied up man as I sipped from my wine.

"I don't care anymore. Kill me if you want." he answered.

I chuckled and held up the pendant Hoseok gave me before. "Someone who can't even let go of something like this. I don't believe thst you would be willing to die that easily." I walked up to him and continued. "This must be really important to you. But I guess... the person behind it must be even more important to you."

That man didn't answer do I showed him the button in my other hand. "I think the owner of this button is your partner. We are all Korean. The only difference is our position. I wish that when I come back later you will have decided. Think through it. These two items, those two people, who do you want to save?"

I and Hoseok were both on our way to the meeting room.

"I just heard from the other guys that Jimin came back at 11:20 a.m. And the color of his buttons are the same as the one I found." he whispered to me.

"Is there one missing?" I asked.

"I'm not sure since I couldn't see it. He was sitting behind the desk." he answered.

"Jungkook must be back right? Did anyone ask about the prisoner?"

"No."

We entered the meeting room and everyone, including Jimin and Jungkook, was already sitting.

I walked up to the front with Hoseok besides of me.

"Before I tell you the content of today's meeting I want to ask all of you to stand up." I spoke strictly.

Most of them were confused but still did as I told. I concentrated on Jimin, especially his jacket and I had the feeling that he noticed that. He let his arms fall and revealed the buttons which were all there.

I sighed and told them to sit down.

"I suspect that information from our transfer mission got leaked to the outside. From a BIS agent we just caught I got to know that there may be a spy in our operation department. Now I need to interrogate everyone who was involved in this mission."

Whispers filled the meeting room while I left and went to my office.

The first one who was called into my office was Sadako. Hoseok sat at a corner with a notebook and a pen, ready to write the record.

Sadako sat down and looked at me.

"Relax Sadako, I'll just ask some questions. You only need to answer these honestly." I smiled at her and she nodded.

"Before Jungkook left today, did you talk with each other?" I asked the first question.

"Yes."

"Do you remember what you said?"

"Nothing special. Just some small-talk. We also talked about Jungkook's girlfriend Lee Jihyun. She's just moved to our buidding. I like her, she's kind."

"Anything else?"

"I don't think so. He was in a rush."

I remained silent for some seconds until I gave her permission to leave.

The next one was Jimin.

Compared to Sadako he was more than comfortable while answering my questions. Through his story I couldn't see any problems.

"You really have to keep it as a secret. You know how jealous that uncle's wife can be. If she ever finds out that my uncle bought a house for Miss Park things will get complicated." Jimin said.

I smiled at him. "Don't worry Jimin. I promise you this thing will never leave my mouth. So where did you go after you left TaePyeongRo?"

"Nowhere special. Only to a furniture store to choose some construction manuals." he answered.

It was useless to try anymore. Jimin was a skilled agent. I will never be able to see theough him. "You are doing your job precisely. No wonder that Kagesa JangGun praises you this much."

I let him go and the next was Ryoo Minah.

From her I found out that she was eating with a friend at a restaurant. But since these friends went back to China it will take some time to verify that.

I didn't get much information from these people after hours so I called Jungkook to be the last.

He entered my office just as chilled as he always is and sat in front of my with crossed legs.
