Chapter 20

Jimin's POV

I met with Namjoon the night after in an old stall to discuss our next steps.

Inside they showed me the corpse of Woo Taewoon to ensure me that this person indeed died. Taewoon got a gunshot through his throat and the sight was far from delicious.

I covered my mouth with a cloth since the corpse began to stink and the sight made me move to the other room.

"Are you sure that this is Woo Taewoon?" I asked Namjoon.

"Pretty sure. Minho knows him and he also comfirmed that." he responded.

"After all we still need his business partner dead. You have to find him at all costs. Before he gets in any contact with the operation department. Yoongi will return tomorrow so you have to hurry." I said, staring at nothing.

"I know. I already sent all my men to find him." Namjoon explained and took 2 suitcases from a drawer.

He opened them revealing a high amount of cash and some package where I assumed the opium were stored.

"What should I do with these?" Namjoon asked me.

"Keep the money and bury these drugs until we get in touch with the Bosses." I suggested.

"I can't keep that money, Jimin!" Namjoon said.

"We won't be able to contact them in the near future, so that's the best way. It shouldn't be all for you but also for the others. Share it." I explained and Namjoon agreed at the end.

"Anyways, I will try to find this man, I remembered his face, so it shouldn't be a problem."

I nodded and left the stall.

I drove home and when I entered the apartment I saw Sadako waiting there for me in her night gown.

"Hey Jimin." she approached me right as she saw my presence. "Is everything alright?"

"Yeah. Woo Taewoon really died but the one he was dealing with escaped." I finally explained and jumped on the couch.

"What? Does that mean that we are still in danger?" Sadako panicked.

"Calm down. I don't think that this person is as dangerous as Woo Taewoon was. He's just a nobody and only in charge of some little business of Yoongi. In the operation department the faces he knows are maybe only Yoongi and Jungkook. Namjoon already sent all his men to find him." I explained to her and she seemed to believe me.

"Now I'm just curious about who the one was that made the phone call." I sighed and caressed my temple.

"Well, since the information was real it must be someone who wants to help us. Who could that be?"

I thought for a while and brought all clues we had in an order. "I think that was someone who knows us very well, who has the chance to collect information about us, to observe us but doesn't really want to report us yet. Could it be... Jungkook?"

I could see nervousness in Sadako's eyes and decided not to talk about that anymore.

"There will be an answer sooner or later. We should sleep now." I suggested and stood up.

"Oh and one thing." I spoke up again. "At the party Namjoon is going to continue the assassination mission. I thought maybe you should know it so you could prepare yourself mentally or otherwise you would maybe make mistakes tomorrow."

I saw Sadako frozing for a second before she nodded her head, showing me that she received the information.

Third Person's POV

That night Sadako couldn't close her eyes. She was still bothered by the thought that Jimin and Namjoon would continue their assassination plan. Jimin did promise her that they would not assassinate Jungkook anymore but what if he changed his mind? Jungkook just became his suspect who knows their identity. She couldn't ask him directly because she would only get scolded by Jimin, saying that she's not professional.

It was right that she had a crush on Jungkook. She knows exactly that as an agent she must never be influenced by meaningless emotions.

She could feel it. She could feel that Jimin wanted to kill Jungkook due to some personal reasons. So why shouldn't she be allowed to save him due to her personal reasons?

She moved on her bed trying not to focus on that at this hour but soon she climbed off the bed and checked whether Jimin was really sleeping on the extra matress.

"Jimin... Jimin are you asleep?" she whispered as silently as she could.

After making sure that Jimin was really in deep slumber she exited the bedroom and went to the drawer where Jimin hid the blacklist underneath.

She looked through all names and after that, she determined her decision.

Sadako's POV

After making the decision I could finally sleep well. I woke up the next day and Jimin was already preparing our breakfast.

I put a smile on my face and approached him in the kitchen.

"It smells really good." I grinned.

"Hm?" Jimin faced me shortly and returned the smile. "You're in a good mood. You slept well."

"I did. Is it that obvious?" I lied.

"A little." he chuckled. "Kagesa JangGun will be attending the party tonight, too. Are you ready to see your own relatives dead?"

"I thought through it and you were right. I shouldn't be so egoistic. I will follow the BIS' wills to the end without objections." I told him hypocritically.

"That's good to hear." Jimin smiled and grabbed the newspaper.

I hesitated but at the end I still asked him. "So, do you have a plan now?"

He nodded. "I still have to meet Namjoon to make sure everything is settled. At work you shouldn't talk too much with Ryoo Minah. She's a person who knows to observe people's expressions. I'm afraid she would notice something." he requested and I fiddled with my fingers.

"I'm so useless. I wish I could be as smart as her." I murmured.

"What are you talking about?" Jimin asked me and put the newspaper back on the table. "Ryoo Minah doesn't have any supporters. In a place sich as the operation department she has to make friends here and there. You don't need that. The opposite. I think your innocenve is your best shield. No one would ever expect that someone like you would be an agent."

My eyes wandered around hearing that. "Is that a compliment?"

He chuckled and drank the milk up.
