I found this on Instagram, I kinda wanted to do it.
1. 2009.
2. Played the game first.
3. Platinum. Yep, I was a late starter.
4. Ice.
5. God, this is a hard one...
Competitively talking, I'd go with Umbreon, 'cause it's SO good. It's an amazing bulky team member that also has the potential to deal great amounts of damage if the setting up is done correctly. Also, Dragonite's a reliable team member.
Based off design and what looks cool, I'd go with Garchomp (who's also amazing for competitive battling) or Floatzel.
(For you people who don't play Pokémon, I'll put pictures at the end)
7. This may be a little biased, but Rowan's always stood out to me. It's probably because it was my first Pokémon game.
8. Giratina, by far.
9. Sinnoh. Once again, biased, since Platinum was my first game.
10. I feel like the graphics have definitely improved throughout the games, which is always a good thing. Different mechanics have been used I different parts of the game and add something new to every generation, making every new game interesting. As you probably know, most people are like, "Oh, they're really running out of designs and they keep getting worse each generation." Well, I don't really agree with that. Designs are still decent, and Game Freak keep coming up with unique designs with each upcoming game. Whether they're good or not, however, is a different question.
Moving on to bad things, I feel like they 'baby' you too much in the newer games, if you get what I'm saying, or they're too plot-heavy. If you take Sun and Moon, for example, the first HOUR is literally just plot and tutorials, even though people playing the 7th generation have most likely played the previous games, so they already know how everything works. I guess Game Freak want Pokémon to be aimed at kids, which it kind of is (since I'm still in High School and I enjoy it), however they don't realise that many adults have played it for several generations. So in my opinion, the constant tutorials in the newer games can get a little annoying.
Another negative is that the routes don't feel as long. Like, did you ever get that feeling when you were going through a route, half your team had fainted, and you felt like you were stranded and lost? That doesn't happen in the newer games. I felt like they made the routes WAY too easy in Sun and Moon, however the difficulty through the whole games of S&M was slightly more difficult that previous generations.
But anyway, I rambled for way too long, especially on 10. What can I say? I'm passionate for Pokémon! XD If you're into this game like me, feel free to comment your thoughts and join in on this too. I'd love to hear your opinions!
See ya!
