Delaney's POV
I sighed as Fred shook my body lightly, attempting to wake me up. It was a sunday and we had spent our weekend in our house, rather than at school. It was a nice change, but the morning came too early and we both knew we'd have to return to school tonight. But for the rest of the day, we were spending it at the Burrow. Today was the day Molly and Ginny planned to have my baby shower on, and although I was excited, I really just wanted to stay in bed. "Love, come on, get up." Freddie said smoothly and gave my shoulder a light push again. I groaned in protest and opened my eyes, coming face to face with my boyfriend. "Come on, it's baby shower time." I rolled my eyes and slowly hopped out of bed. Fred chuckled and left the main bedroom, heading down the hall and into the kitchen.
We had decided not to take the traditional route and exclude the men from the baby shower, as the muggles do, so all the Weasley boys were invited as well as my dad and Remus; I'm sure they're super happy to be invited. Plus, it gives Remus more time to spend with Tonks. Their slow-blooming romance popped into my head and I smiled. I was excited to see what the future held for them. They both deserved love. After I showered, moisturised and changed, I made my way into the kitchen just as Fed was plating up the food he made.
I smiled at him and sat at the kitchen counter, taking the plate he held out to me. "I didn't know you could cook." I joked and started eating my breakfast. Of course he could cook. Out of all the Weasley kids, it made sense that Fred would ask Molly to teach him how to cook. We made small talk while we ate and before we knew it, it was time to head to the Burrow. I called a taxi, using the muggle phone that Fred had absolutely no idea about and I tried to explain to him how it worked. Sometimes I forgot that The Weasley's were raised strictly in the wizarding world until Arthur started to learn things about the muggle world, hence the flying car. When the taxi arrived, I told him where to drop us off, and although he looked confused, he did. I paid him in muggle money and we exited the car.
The rest of the walk to the Burrow wasn't long, and when we entered through the magical barrier that shielded it from muggles, we spotted our family and friends. I laughed when I spotted Arthur, the Weasley brothers and Harry de-gnoming the garden. Pesky gnomes. Molly was the first to greet us as I was pulled into a hug. "Thank you for this Molly. I really appreciate it." She nodded, saying it was no big deal and led us to the tables that were set up in the garden once again. I found dad shortly after, sitting with Remus as they talked about things from their teenage years. Tonks sat beside Remus, listening carefully. I sat next to them but winced as the baby kicked hard. I placed my hand on the area that they kicked and soothed it, hoping the baby would calm down soon. "Gosh, what are you doing in there?" I asked the baby and Sirius chuckled from next to me. "Backflips." He started and I raised an eyebrow at him. He let out another laugh. "Lily used to say you were always doing backflips when she was pregnant with you." Flashing him a smile, I nodded. It made sense. I wanted to ask more questions about my mother when she was pregnant with me, and hoped Harry would want to hear the stories as well but Molly called out, mentioning something about opening the baby shower presents before we ate lunch.
