16 years old (present day)

Archie remembers the first time he felt his heart race because of his best friend. They had to be no older than 13 years old,

sitting in the Andrews living room with this friends on a summer evening discussing about high school and that their childhood was practically over. Archie sat besides Jughead with Betty sitting across from him and Kevin besides her laid out in a comfortable position on the floor with a pillow to support his elbow.

When Archie's dad called that the pizza had finally arrived they all went to stand, Jughead accidentally placed his hand on top of Archie's as he pushed himself off the floor. And the redheaded boy felt his heart slam against his chest, "what the fuck." He thought as he stood following behind his friend

"Archie!" Veronica's voice booming into the room startled the boy out of his thoughts causing him to kick over the music stand that stood in front of him.

"Jesus Veronica." Archie breathed turning away from the dark haired girl going and picking up the music stand. Veronica slammed the door behind her and slumped down into Archie's couch, her arms crossed at her chest.

He looked at her practically feeling the anger that was bubbled up inside her. Archie wasn't sure how to approach the fuming girl because he didn't have to mind set to deal with yelling and didn't want to be attacked in some way by her either.

"I just don't fucking get it." She spoke in almost a whisper "Betty is my best friend but now it's like-"

"She replaced you?" Archie finished the sentence turning the stool he was sitting in towards her before taking a seat again.

She nodded her dark locks following the movement. The two girls had a kind of argument a few days after Veronica claimed she was okay with Betty's new found relationship and from then on Betty seemed to be more attached to Cheryl especially because of Polly and Veronica hated it to say the least

"I mean she got over me making out with you, the supposed love of her life since she was five but can't get over-" Veronica brought her hands into fist at her sides, viciously chewing on her bottom lip. Letting the angry tears she had been holding in roll down her cheeks.

Archie took this as a cue to comfort her. He stood from his spot and went over to the couch pulling the crying girl into his arms the moment he sat. Gently rubbing her back as she cried into his sweatshirt.

It seemed like forever that she cried, but Archie didn't mind it. She's one of his best friends, he would probably beat himself up about it for the rest of his life if he was just to walk away.

"Hey Man- oh" Jughead greeted sticking his head into the garage. Veronica sat up fully wiping her tears away with a tissue she took from the box on the coffee table "are you-"

"I'm fine. Just some boy troubles." She lied sniffling. Jughead looked to Archie raising his eyebrows, earning a shrug as a response from the other boy "I'll be going now."

Veronica stood pausing at Archie taking hold of her wrist "Are you sure Ronnie? You're welcome to hang out here until you feel better."

"I'm fine. Bye boys." She smiled at the both of them then disappearing out the door leaving the two alone.

"Boy troubles?" Jughead chuckled "I didn't know you were the psychiatrist of the group."

"Yeah, eh. Well you know." Archie stood up turning to the door "come on we have some unfinished business with the mafia." He gestured to the video game they were playing the day before while they walked along the path towards the Andrews home.

Soon the boys are settled up in Archie's room yelling jokingly at each other every time one of them screwed up by shooting the other or some how ruined the task at hand before it was even completed. Silence filled the room as they became more concentrated on the game.

Archie's mind started to go else where, he came to the realization that he and Jughead hadn't even had an actual conversation about his relationship, not that they had to, but the fact that Veronica is so hurt and no one but Archie and probably Kevin had knowledge of it was bothering the boy to no end.

Also the fact that Archie had possible feelings for his best friend since he was at least thirteen bothered him also. Archie hadn't actually came to terms with the fact that he may have more attraction to boys then he did to girls, because he didn't exactly think about it much either, there was too much going on in his life to be able to focus on it, also since he wasn't that keen on keeping relationships either, which wasn't helpful at all.

"So what is really wrong with Veronica?" Jughead asked breaking the silence pausing the sound of yelling men and gun shots "because I believe that you would be the last person she'd go to for relationship advice, when she has Betty."

"Is that a crack on my relationship history?" Archie questioned placing his hand over his chest acting like he was hurt,

"No, not exactly." Jughead laughed shaking his head "but really what's going on."

"She didn't go to Betty because what she was crying about was about her." Archie replied fidgeting with the controller

"Oh."

"They had an argument about something,- and I guess that Betty didn't want to hear Veronica's apology." Archie shrugged, of course he knew more, he knew all about Veronica's feelings for Betty, but of course he wouldn't tell the real reason. It wasn't his place. "I thought Betty would have told you."

"She did tell me that she was in a fight with Veronica, but she didn't give specifics."

"Ronnie didn't give specifics either." Archie sighed, he hated lying but the thought of everything spinning out of control was much worse in Archie's mind. "We've know Betty all of our lives, we know she'll get over it."

"They'll be best friends next week."

"Exactly."

Anyways, on Tumblr "the straight theatre fandom" were complaining about "the gay theatre fandom" because they makes everything gay ?? But like ?? Who cares ?? Calm the fuck down ??

I've kind of been on this streak of posting every 6 days so I might try and stay on that streak.
