"I don't even know what i said wrong, one moment i was getting the nerve to walk up to her and ask her out and then next she's throwing tropical punch in my face." Archie frowned flopping back into the grass of the field the two boys found while wandering around the woods. He had failed at asking out a girl from the back of his english class names Ellie, that he found completely amazing for unknown reasons according to Jug, she was no better than any other girl in their class.

"It's because you have the tendency to not listen to yourself when you talk." Jughead smirked pulling a few brightly yellow flowers out of the ground sprinkling the shredded up pieces of floral all over the whining boy besides him.

Archie laughed ripping a handful of grass from the dirt tossing it all over the dark haired boy. Jughead huffed wiping the grass off of him as he laid back looking over to his friend in the process.

"You are an idiot Archie, I think you forget that sometimes." Jughead gently patted the head of the brace-faced teen, who frowned back to him.

A silence filled the air, both boys staring up at the multi-colored trees. a mixture of yellow, orange, and bright red danced in the wind above the boys head. It was nice to say the least. when the two usually hang out Betty usually tags along and sometimes Kevin. It wasn't really ever just the two of them unless it was night time and they were tucked away in bed for the night.

Don't get them wrong, they love their friends. Jughead couldn't say much about it since Archie had been friends with Betty and Kevin for a few years before he became friends with him. Archie feels the same, sometimes he just wants to be around just Jug, sometimes he wants to just be around Betty and sometimes he just wants to be around Kevin (which most people wouldn't suspect but he actually really likes Kevin, he considers him on of his best friends).

Archie let out a sigh, putting an arm behind his head. "Maybe it was because she possibly saw me kiss that kid during Cheryl's and Jason's birthday party a few weeks ago." Archie blurted about, immediately turning red, regretting  the words as the left his lips.

Jughead sprung into a sitting position quickly snapping his head towards the boy besides him "YOU WHAT." he yelled startling Archie, who was slowly sitting up himself "WHO? WHAT?"

"it was only a game! i don't see why it matters."

"a 'kid' is very vague, Archie." Jughead spoke, putting air quotes are 'kid' earning a look from Archie "was it a girl or a boy?"

Archie turned his head towards the ground, his whole face heating up. The color matching the hair of the redheaded Blossom twins. It wouldn't have mattered if it was a boy or a girl, to Jughead. He was more surprised that he was never told and that he hadn't heard people talking about it. Not even gossip king Kevin.

"it was a boy." Archie said silently, to the point that he was basically mouthing it.

"whoa dude."

"you probably hate me now, yeah- I get-"

"Archie seriously? Hate you? I could never." Jughead chuckles playfully punching the boy besides him in the arm. "So are you?"

Archie shrugged, knowing what Jughead was implying "I don't know. I've had crushes on girls. But then there are times I have crushes on boys."

"So both?"

"I think so."

"Who was it? How did that even happen?"

"I'm not telling you who, but he's a kid who goes to a neighboring high school. And I don't even know we were just sitting in the Blossoms creepy ass front yard at some point. Like it was dark." Archie looked to Jughead taking in a deep breath, running his tongue over the metal on his teeth "and then it just happen! I didn't even think anyone saw."

"You think that Ellie might have saw?"

"Yeah because she said 'you can't go around kissing people and acting like nothing happened' and then threw the fruit punch. So I'm guessing she saw because he was the last person I kissed before the situation with Ellie."

Jughead nodded turning his head to the grass beneath him. Processing everything he just learned. Of course Archie not being 100% straight wasn't the thing that bothered him, a weird feeling washed over him once it was all processed. Maybe it was a slight feeling of jealously or relief.

Jughead didn't know.

Why would he be jealous or even relieved that the thought of Archie liking guys. He didn't even like Archie in the way or even boys for that matter. Did he?

While Jughead was having his own slight 'gay panic' as Kevin would call it. The red haired boy stood, brushing off whatever dirt or grass pieces remained on his jeans.

"Come on its getting late and we have homework." Archie spoke pulling Jug away from his thoughts "Want to come over for dinner? My dad is making something he calls a surprise."

Archie waited from Jughead to catch up with him before starting to walk again "and by surprise means he's going to try making something from his cook book, fail and either order take out or we will go to Pops."

"Y-yeah sounds good." Jughead stutter went unnoticed by Archie who happily walked along the trail that lead to their bikes.

Archie was happy to get most things off his chest.

Jughead felt weird.
