"Maybe that's why he's failed at ever getting into a relationship with a girl!" Kevin spoke like it was one of the most brilliant conclusions to why Archie could seem to never get a girlfriend

Betty rolled her eyes at the boy walking besides her. Honestly, she herself had a huge crush developing on the boy next door and if he wasn't straight, the blonde would be completely devastated.

"You know you are really ruining my 'best friends falling in love' dreams you know that?" Betty shook her head, her ponytail waving with the motion. Kevin frowned coming to a stop besides the girls locker.

"You know I'm the biggest supporter of you two. But if he hasn't made a move then something's up." Kevin insisted clutching his binder to his chest with one hand and grading Betty's hand with the other in order to show his sympathy.

"You'll have two gay best friends!" Kevin joked, smiling at Betty "besides, he could be bisexual!! then you'd have a chance."

Betty had considered it, she hoped it. If Archie happened to like boys she also hopped of him having an interest in girls also. If that's the case then Kevin would be happy to claim he was right all these years and Betty can live in bliss knowing that she may be able to one day have her fairytale romance.

"Hey guys." Archie called across the hall, happily bouncing over to his two friends with Jughead following close behind with a less bright attitude compared to the red headed boy

"Archibald. Death Eater" Kevin greeted the two boys, Archie made a face at the use of his full first name. Making it obvious that he hated it. Jughead rolled his eyes shoving his hands into the pockets of his sweater.

"Very funny, Keller." Jughead smiled, Kevin smiled back. The boy was proud of himself for making such a joke. It always seemed to be Reggie cracking the jokes about Jugheads dark demeanor.

The four started out the school, finding their bikes and unchaining them from the racks.

"Pops?" Archie suggested looking at the three as they strolled over to him

"You read my mind." Jughead replied giving Archie a pat on the shoulder. Kevin agreed, he has been craving a milkshake since this morning. Betty would never pass up a opportunity to hang out with Archie.

The set off on their bikes, carefully riding through the streets and being sure not to get hit by any cars.

Archie and Jughead riding in front, the other two riding in the back of them a few feet back.

The twos boys rode along, laughing and talking about random things. Jughead always seemed his happiest around the redhead despite mostly looking dead inside at any other moment of the day.

"You better snatch your man before someone else does." Kevin smirked, gesturing to the two boys riding along with no knowledge of the conversation behind them.

Betty rolled her eyes but in the back of her head she kept what Kevin said on repeat.

This is the first time she considered that there could ever be more going on between the two boys
