Litten might have been the one practicing Fire Fang with Kiawe but Rockruff was fired up too. The Puppy pokemon wagged it's tail while doing a mock growl like it was actually battling. "Turtonator, get that bite," Kiawe instructed.
Litten to off running and leaped high, fire was coming out of it's mouth. Will it make it ? The fire disappeared before the bite leaving Litten to chew on Turtonator's tail. With a flick Turtonator flicked the little feline off his tail.
Ash consoled the disappointed pokemon. "Fire Fang is not a move you can learn on the first try," Meowth offered her wisdom as she flicked her tail while avoiding brushing the sand.
"Let Kiawe teach us how to do this technique," Ash added. "If it's Fire-type techniques let me !" Kiawe called from his spot. Turtonator and Charizard agreed with their trainer as they cheered.
Litten had been recently caught by Ash but the two seemed to be really getting along well, She noticed. Fennekin, Rockruff and Pikachu stopped watching to harass or maybe herd something moving in the sand.
Looking away from the fun to see Litten charging only to trip over a empty discarded can. Skidding in the sand, Litten looked behind itself and gave a sad meow. "That was good, Litten," Ash commented as he patted the forlorn pokemon.
"Pika ! Pika !" Pikachu interrupted while Rockruff happily yapped.
Adeline
The lump of sand was moving...and it had a shovel ? "Wait a minute, that shovel..." Kiawe said once he got a look. The sand moved closer only Litten and Meowth hissed warningly as they tried to claw the lump.
It got bigger until it was clear it was some strange pokemon.

"Banabo !" It cried.
"It's a Sandygast !" Kiawe yelled, from the tone it sounded like this pokemon was bad news. Hearing this Meowth seemed to back away slowly, still eyeing the strange pokemon warily.
"Sandygast the Sand Castle (Heap ?) pokemon. Ghost and Ground type.
Born from a sand mound playfully built by a child, this Pokémon embodies the grudges of the departed. It takes control of anyone who puts a hand in its mouth. And so it adds to the accumulation of its sand-mound body."
"I was going to do that !" The Rotomdex replied glumly as she beat it to it with identifying the unknown pokemon. "Control ?" Ash questioned.
"It is the pokemon that you must be more careful on this beach. When I was little, my brother told me all the time, Beware of Solitary Shovels on the Beach, Something terrible can happen. But now...." Kiawe stopped, she was sure he was reliving a traumatized time with thiskind of pokemon involved.
"They say I was gathering sand until the next day."
"Eh...but it's sand, right ?" Ash questioned while looking scared along with Rowlet perched on his shoulder while Rotomdex looked worried.
Meowth
"Banapo !" The pokemon yelled enraged now. "Rockruff, Rock Thrower !" Ash ordered as the wild pokemon threatenly looked over the yapping pokemon. The move seemed to hurt the Sandygast and one of the rocks cleaved the sand at the right angle, sending the shovel flying into the water. I'm not getting that, make Rockruff fetch it, She thought.
"Noz ! Noz !" The pokemon panicked. "Nozz ! Narbol !" Enraged it used Shadow Ball and tried to his Rockruff. "Now he did it !" She yowled. Leaping away she avoided a incoming Shadow Ball, courteously of a ticked off Sandygast.
"It's very upset !" Ash commented. That's a understatement of the century, She eyed the idiot. "It must be looking for it's shovel," Adeline spoke. "I-it flew to the sea," Ash stuttered uneasily.
Adeline
Kiawe began to head to the ocean, "In any case, we must look for it ! Wait a minute !"
"It said that you can give something instead of the shovel," Rotomdex interrupted. Looking around she didn't see any shovels lying around. "Something instead of the shovel ?" Ash looked around. Just then a idea seemed to pop in his head as he grabbed the Rotomdex. "Give me this for a minute !"
Bad idea ! Bad idea ! She thought. "Fenn !" Her pokemon cried as the fire type ran to her.
"It fits perfectly," Ash patted himself on the back while they all were sweat dropping. Seriously ! That's not going to help ! Sandygast had enough, with a angry yell the pokemon evolved into something bigger and continued to grow.
"Ash ! You've done it now !" She yelled as she gather Fennekin and Eevee in her arms as she moved away. This was going to be bad. Why the heck did I have to come here to watch some training. Oh right, because Kiawe is here !
Meowth
"Run !" She yowled, fleeing away from the towering giant sand pokemon as it seemed to be trying to suck them in it's giant mouth. The fierce gust was powerful, clawing the sand she escaped but Ash was imprisoned in the Palossand.
The Rotomdex could not even escape either.
Then Litten got grabbed to.
Great, just great, She groaned. But help came as the others rushed over. Litten and the Rotomdex seemed to be having their energy sucked.
Water attacks strengthened the Palossand they learned. It's a Ground and Ghost type so Fire and Ice should work, She theorized but she had never met a pokemon like this before.
Poppilo and Pikachu went deep sea diving to retrieve the missing shovel.
Gyarados
Did I miss something ? He questioned at the giant mound of living sand. In the front he could see Vulpix, Fennekin and other fire type pokemon blasting fire-type attacks. "Gyarados ! I need you to use Blizzard !" Adeline called out, getting his attention.
Shrugging he advanced onto the beach and blasted the the cold move along with the Alolan Vulpix. The ice slowly began to form around the strange pokemon.
After a while he noticed the Vulpix began to tire after this constant attacking over the period of time. Adjusting his mouth he stopped to use Ice Beam, the move seemed to be more effective at freezing the pokemon solid.
"Well done," Adeline praised. Nodding his head he retreated to the sea so he could rest without showing it. Looking back he saw the snowy Vulpix was tired. "Well done for one so young," He praised before swinging his head back to leave the beach.
While the humans celebrated he dove in to notice something strange. The pokemon were trapped in bubbles ! Confused he eyed a trapped Magikarp. "What happened here ?" He questioned the pokemon before setting it free.
Looking around he began his task at freeing the rest of the pokemon. By the time he was finished her noticed Poppilo and Pikachu moving a bubbled object. "Let me help," He rumbled before using his head to assist getting them out.
Towering his once he breach the surface he noticed everyone hitting the air bubble. With the shovel, the object those two had, the pokemon slowly disappeared.
