The Great Pokemon Pancake Race

They were once again at their favorite Pancake Shop. The first time she had been drawn to it's cute Pink and white sign. They never left after eating those delicious pancakes. She had a love for it's strawberries while Mom was a slave to the Carmel as it was drizzled all over the tower of pancakes. 

Nao and her partner pokemon, an Alolan  form Raichu served them once again. While the Alolan Raichu's here were also Psychic it looked very fairy like. Plus it floated in midair while standing on it's tail like a surfer would on a surfboard.  "Hello Nao, Could you tell me about this Pancake Race ?"

Nao turned out to be last years champion and began telling her about the big race and the prize. A year of free pancakes ! It might be mean but even her Mom's Puff Pancakes weren't as good as the pancakes they ate.

That was saying something since their was spices like Nutmeg and fresh fruit. "We have to win," Her Mom said determinedly with a fire in her eyes.

"Yeah but which pokemon should we choose ? From the sound of it, it would be best to have a light weight pokemon who has good balance and durance too," She pointed out as she took a bite. She had Ralts, Fennekin and Mimikyu to pick.

"Well then, I'll use that pokemon," Her Mom stated. Raising a eyebrow she questioned, "Really ? That one tends to be...not so social," She pointed out.

"Don't worry," Her Mom replied nonchalantly as she sipped her orange juice. Shrugging she went over her pokemon, Ralts would be a good choice but she doubted her pokemon had the endurance. Fennekin maybe, Mimikyu could do it as long as the pokemon did not attack any Pikachus.

Handing over some to the three she could see they loved the Alolan Pancakes. Her Mom would save some for her pokemon back home.

Trial

She had her three carry the stacks of plain pancakes, Ralts tired out first and Fennekin second as her pokemon collapsed with a tired look. Mimikyu was clearly the best. "It's okay, you all did amazing," She praised her tired out pokemon.

They could not do a race while balancing pancakes but Mimikyu could. "I wonder how Mom's doing ?" She asked out loud.

Race day

It was explained, first they would climb a hill and then the Balance Beams (I've got great balance ! She gushed on the inside) then they'd pull their pokemon on a wagon and at the last checkpoint the pokemon raced on their own.

Also if a pokemon who used a move to hinder or stop another it was disqualified. Balancing her pancakes she noticed Kiawe as he stretched, on hand balance the pancakes. The rest of the class was here as well, Lillie and the Professor cheered from the seats.

"I've got this !" Kiawe announced. "Thanks for cheering us on !" Mallow thanked. Grinning she yelled," Thank you !" She was going to win this ! "Your welcome !" Lillie replied as the egg she held glowed for a moment.

   Soon it will hatch, she thought.

She let the others talk while she focused, once the race started they would run. She needed to be ready since Nao would likely get first place if she didn't do her best. The race started as she kept a steady pace while she noticed her Mom was at a slower pace.

Balance Beam

This was were she showed off as she ran on the beams, weaving her way if someone was ahead of her and they were going slow. Sophocles was the first of the Pokémon Class to be disquified as he fell off. His pancakes flopped down and the Alolan Muk ate closed as they cleaned the ongoing mess.
