My mind seems to make it's own way
Today
Not caring where I wish to go,
So I just go along.
Past the lake of the dead
Waters churning red
soulless eyes
Are no surprise
I recognise
My past mistakes
And try to take
Another path.
My mind just snakes
And takes me where it will
I still don't care
I can't repair
Such putrid history.
I seem to wake
And take a look
At demons in the corner,
I give no quarter
Those who's slaughter
I have caused
Will have to wait,
For them it is too late,
But
For me
This is not my place
As yet
For I am only visiting,
And though my mind
Can be unkind
Today
I shall find another way
Until my day is done.
For I
Am only visiting.
