"I'm exhausted..." Lissa said flopping on the couch of the apartment, "I'm not, I feel so energetic, I'm going for a jog, check the perimeter you know the usual." Juliette said making Lissa raise a brow at her as their cat Oscar jumped onto her lap, "You're acting like a guardian already." The blonde teased the dark haired girl who threw the nearest pillow at her while saying "Shut up Lis, close and lock the door after I leave."

After making sure that door was locked Juliette jogged out of the building and started jogging, scouting the area around the location, meanwhile Lissa was in the apartment living room doing her homework while cuddling with Oscar.

'Well I heard there was a secret chord
That David played and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for music, do you?
Well it goes like this: the fourth, the fifth
The minor fall and the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah

Hallelujah [x4]

Your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you
She tied you to her kitchen chair
She broke your throne and she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah

Hallelujah [x4]

Baby I've been here before
I've seen this room and I've walked this floor (you know)
I used to live alone before I knew you
And I've seen your flag on the marble arch
And love is not a victory march
It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah

Hallelujah [x4]

There was a time when you let me know

What's really going on below

But now you never show that to me, do you?

But remember when I moved in you

And the holy dove was moving too

And every breath we drew was Hallelujah

Hallelujah [x4]

Maybe there's a God above
All I've ever learned from love
Was how to shoot somebody who outdrew you
And it's not a cry that you hear at night
It's not somebody who's seen the light
It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah

Hallelujah [x13]'

Juliette sang while she was jogging before, halfway back, she was pulled into Lissa's head in a snap, Lissa was reliving the accident in her sleep, her father driving cautiously, her mother next to him looking ahead, her brother Andre on the seat behind the drivers, Rose in the middle and Lissa on the seat behind the shotgun.

Music was coming from the radio when Lissa said "Ohh father turn it up." Rose quickly added "Please Mr. Dragomir, I love this song." Andre was quick to tell the two teenage girls "This song is sick... the traditional 'vomit' definition of the word." he looked at the two girls making his sister say "Shut up Andre. Me and Rose want to hear it." with a smile on her face while she looks ahead.

" 'Rose and I' Lissa, 'Rose and I.' " her mother said, "I think the tune is rather catchy." her father said reaching his hand to turn the volume up when a car came straight into theirs sending the car flying back and upside down, the windows shattered and and Lissa's body was thrown out of the car. The crash killed her parents and her brother instantly and left Rose on the brick of the death, "Rose..." Lissa gasped and crawled to her best friend, "L...Li...Lissa..." Rose gasped out in pain, Lissa groaned and reached for Rose's hand and tried to heal her but Rose was quickly fading, quicker than Lissa could heal her.

That's when Lissa felt a presence enter her body and her presence enter another body. Suddenly Juliette crashes against something and groans rubbing her nose, when she opens her eyes again she sees that she's still the street and that she crashed against a wall, feeling something drip down her chin she reaches up and touches it. Seeing it's blood the dark haired girl groans and runs home quickly.

Busting through the door Juliette rushes to Lissa and wakes her up "Lissa! Lissa wake up. You're alright." the blue eyed girl says, gasping awake the blonde sits up and looks at her best friend sadly and guiltily "Sorry, it was the accident." she says, nodding Juliette pulled her into a hug and walked to the kitchen to grab a cup of water, Oscar following her. "Thank you for staying with her Oscar." Juliette told the car while petting him. Oscar purred and closed his eyes while Juliette drank the water while looking out the window, she saw a man looking at her and instantly froze.

Unfreezing she smiled at Oscar and picked him up, "Come on let's go back to Lissa." she whispered and walked back to the living room "We need to leave." Juliette said "Why?" Lissa frowns as she closed her books, "There is someone watching us outside." Juliette tells her making her nod and both walk to their rooms and pack some stuff. "Is it Strigoi?" Lissa asked from her room, "No, Guardians." Juliette said.

After meeting in the hall the dark haired girl opened an extra bag and said "Put Oscar in here." the green eyed girl beamed and placed their cat in the bag closing it, leaving only space for him to poke his head out if he wanted. "Rose would have been angry if she was here and knew Oscar was coming." Lissa laughed.

Shaking her head with a small smile Juliette said "I'm not Rose, Liss, and that's why I try to do my best at protecting you because I know that she would do so much better." Lissa smiled and hugged her before they walked to the apartment across the hall, "Ask Jeremy for his car keys and erase his memory of us." Juliette said, nodding Lissa walked knocked on the door and both waited for Jeremy to appear.

Juliette could feel Lissa's anxiety and complete faith in her through the physic 2 way bond they shared while Lissa could feel Juliette's excitement and worry, after obtaining the car keys the duo walked out of the building and leaned against the opposite wall "Keep close." Juliette whispered, kneeling down she pulled the cover of a bike and stuffed an alcohol drenched scarf down the fuel pipe before say "Go." Lissa started walking around the building while Juliette lit up the scarf and released it in the direction of the Guardians.

The two quickly walked around the building just in time as the bike reached the Guardians and exploded, they quickly got up and Juliette was quicker grabbing a pipe and hitting them both knocking them unconscious. "Did you have to hurt them?" Lissa asked, "I didn't,I just knocked the out for a couple of minutes." Juliette laughed while they walked to the car. Sighing a bit more relaxed the two rush to the car, "We'll head north into Canada." Juliette said just as Lissa gasped.

Looking over her shoulder Juliette threw the duffel bag she was carrying into the Guardian's stomach before kicking him in the face twice, "That felt good." Juliette beamed, looking behind her best friend Lissa said "Jules..." the two looked at the advancing Guardian and Juliette mentally scolded herself for thinking that he was an absolute god.

"Princess Vasilisa Dragomir, my name is Dimitri Belikov, I've come to take you back to St. Vladimir's Academy." the Guardian said, a Russian accent rolling off his tongue in a way that made Juliette shiver in delight and fear. "Listen Comrade to get to her, you're going to have to go through me." Juliette said with a fierce expression on her face.

She started running in his direction but unfortunately she didn't anticipate the attack of the elder Guardian, he pushed her away from him accidentally making the blue eyed girl fly back, he caught her just in time before she hit the ground while another Guardian gave her a sedative for her not to attack them.
