Arriving at the main building Juliette heard Lissa say in her head 'Goodbye Facebook, goodbye iPhone 5. Hello St. Vladimir's.' she laughed quietly and shook her head 'Is it that bad?' she asked mentally, 'Wait until you meet the students and the headmistress.' Lissa answers making Juliette laugh and say 'Please they can't be that bad.' Lissa scoffs and rolls her eyes. The Russian Guardian, Dimitri, looks at the two and knows that his suspicions are correct.

"Damn, Vampire Academy." Juliette said with a small smirk, "Please don't say 'Vampire Academy'. You know how I feel about the 'V' word." Lissa said, rolling her eyes Juliette said "Valet, violet, vision, voice, velociraptor, vile, vaccine. But hey it's not like drinking blood is your main source of sustenance... Ohh wait... that's exactly what it is." Both girls laughed as Lissa shoulder bumped Juliette as the bell rang.

Lissa sighed and said groaning "They just had to bring us back in the middle of the night." Juliette shook her head and rubbed her nude arms, "Not cool... If I well remember from you and her, 1 a.m. is the end of 5th period." Lissa hums and whispers "I'm so happy you're here with me." Juliette nods and beams at her.

"Ew... looks like your ex tried to replace you with a younger version of you." Juliette says tilting her head to the side to examine the blonde haired pixie standing by Lissa's ex-boyfriend "God I hate high school." Lissa says making Juliette roll her eyes and pinch the blonde's arm while thinking 'Ignore him, you don't need him.' Lissa half glared at her best friend and smacked her bare arm making Juliette gasp and glared half heartly back.

"Princess... Headmistress Kirova is ready for you." Dimitri said Lissa looked at Juliette who shrugged and pulled her top up a bit trying to cover her cleavage a bit more. The two walked in silence to the Headmistresses office and entered quietly. "It's all so unprecedented. I'm at loss coming up with a proper punishment." the Headmistress said as soon as the two girl sat down.

"Um I would just like to say, I wasn't a student here before." Juliette says making everyone in the room look at her shocked. "And yet according to Guardian Belikov you killed a strigoi." the headmistress says eyeing the girl who had all the characteristics of a Dhampir. "I was adopted with only days of life, I don't know my biological parents but Lissa thinks I'm a Dhampir. And that was just all the extra activities I had over the years kicking in because I didn't want my best friend hurt." Juliette shrugged allowing Lissa to say "She 'jogs' every morning and night about 5 to 10 feet radius around the apartment and makes me lock the door after she leaves and she makes me go with her to the gym. She's the best friend Rose would have been..." Juliette grabs Lissa's hand and squeezes it lightly feeling her emotions.

"Ellen please..." a man says as he enters the room, "Victor!" Lissa said and jumped to her feet quickly rushing to the man and hugging him gently, Juliette is pulled into Lissa's head and sees the man's face closely the man looked like he was in his 80s but she knew for him to be her father's friend he had to be at least half that age.

Forcing herself back to her own head just in time to see Lissa and the man walk towards her, 'I feel like I should know who he is.' Juliette told Lissa mentally giving her a look, 'This is Victor Dashkov, Prince Victor Dashkov, he was a friend of my dad's and is a possible successor to the throne although he might not make it because of his Sandovsky's syndrome advancing quickly, he's like an uncle to me.' Lissa answered.

"Headmistress, these girls have been through so much. As provost of this school and Lissa's father's oldest friend, I beg you, look into your heart." Prince Dashkov said making both girls smile at him in appreciation  "Vasilisa, I have the utmost sympathy for the loss of your parents and your brother, Andre. But why did you flee a heavily guarded compound of Moroi students from all over the world?" The headmistress asked, "It's not easy to explain." Lissa said looking at her best friend.

"Ever since the accident Lissa felt that she was struggling a lot and vulnerable as if she had to please everyone, and thought that if she could escape and live anonymously in the human world she didn't have anyone to please. We ran into each other and instantly clicked, she saw what I was capable of doing and got into her head that I was a Dhampir and when I asked her 'Who and what?' she explained your world to me and what and who she was. That's when I got into my head that I needed to protect her until she was ready to return on her own free will." Juliette said in a big breath making Lissa laugh at her slightly.

'Thanks for telling her only half of the truth.' Lissa said making Juliette beam at her brightly, "Fascinating, this is where you give me specifics." Headmistress Kirova says, the two girls share a look before Lissa nods and Juliette says "Like I said, Lissa felt as if she needed to prove herself more than she usually did, being the last Dragomir and the only one to survive the crash." Everyone half expected Juliette to burst into a fit of anger very much like Rose would have.

Suddenly while her eyes scan the room, they land on a folder, a memory comes forward in her mind and she blurs out "Where is Miss Karp?" the office turns dead quiet only for the Headmistress saying "Miss Karp is no longer part of this institution." Juliette frowns and adds "Why? Maybe she could shine some light into the situation, she and Lissa used to talk on regular basis." "It's not important." the Headmistress growls out making Juliette and Lissa jump in their seats.

'HOLLY FIRECRACKERS SHE'S SCARY!' Juliette shouted in her head, more specifically in the physic bond she and the jade green eyed princess shared. 'I told you so.' Lissa shoots back as the scary Moroi said "Vasilisa Dragomir is from one of the 12 royal families. She's the last of the Dragomir line." Juliette nodded and said "I already knew that, bare in mind that I willingly attacked and somehow managed to kill a Strigoi without any training because of my best friend." Kirova nodded slightly as Prince Dashkov says "With my condition taking the Dashkov family out of contention, Lissa is a possible successor to the throne."

"Headmistress Kirova. They have the bond." Dimitri said making Juliette turn to him and send him a slight glare while he send her a small smirk making Juliette think 'I would totally take you down and scream insults at you right now Comrade.' Lissa stifled a giggle and thought back 'Would that be before or after you went to bed with him?' Juliette turned to her flabergasted and scoffed shooting back 'I don't go to bed with just anyone, he has to win my respect, my trust, my heart and my patience not to mention my attention.'

No one saw the exchange between the girls as the the Headmistress said "That's... that's impossible." "In my brief observation period, she could tell what Lissa was thinking or feeling and the other way around sometimes without being in the same place." Dimitri added, "What a rare and wonderful gift." Prince Dashkov said.

"But that doesn't change the fact that we don't know if she's a Dhampir or not." Kirova says, annoyed Juliette says " 'She' has a name and it's Juliette Kingsley, I was adopted as a newborn baby by Melina and Charles Kingsley and I have two adoptive siblings, who are also adopted, Adam and Percy Kingsley. I'm 17 years old and I am over active and need to do a lot of exercise before I get tired." Everyone looks at her and she simply crosses her arms over her chest trying to hide as much of her breasts as possible.

"But the number of female Dhampir guardians has gone down way too much to risk losing one with such potential." Dimitri says making Juliette blush and mentally curse. "Ellen, what this impressive new guardian says seems reasonable." Prince Dashkov says smiling gently at Juliette, "I'm so sorry, Headmistress. After the crash, I lacked a strong parental figure to confide in. I'm afraid I got in way over my heads." Lissa said using compulsion on the headmistress which made Juliette snicker mentally 'Lissa gone bad and rogue. Watch out world.' "Juliette Kingsley can stay, but I want to run blood tests to see if she really is a Dhampir and who her biological parents are. Take the princess to her royal quarters." Kirova said.

Juliette shyly rose her head and said "I was wondering if I could have extra training hours, seeing as I don't the same training as the other novices. And extra homework so I could catch up. I mean if that's not a problem." Kirova gaped at the blue eyed girl and nodded slowly saying "But who would train you?" "I don't mind if it means the Princess having a close female Guardian." Dimitri said making Lissa smirk and think to Juliette 'He's so gonna make you fall for him while he falls for you. I can see it.'Juliette glared lightly at her and replied 'He's so not plus he's just being nice and training me so YOU have more protection.' Lissa rolled her eyes and allowed the Guardians to take her away.
