"Ow!" Juliette says as she kicks the step accidentally when walking to her blonde best friend. " Wow. You look how I feel." Lissa said not knowing that Juliette wasn't in pain because of the training but because she had just hurt her foot. "I look how I feel, beside's the training didn't do this Liss, the bloody step moved on it's own accord. How's that "under the radar plan working out, Highness?" Juliette said looking around amused at how the Dhampir looked at her like she was a goddess. "Not so much." Lissa told her holding Oscar in her arms, "If you need a shoulder to cry on, use mine first, then Christian Ozera's." The blue eyed girl teased again smirking at Lissa, truth be told everyone could see how different Juliette was from Rose, Rose was always a rule breaker and used to break the rules but Juliette was quite the opposite, she always wanted to know more and do more things.
"Shut up. Oh!" Lissa giggled slapping the dark raven haired girl's arm, before herfeeding pager went off "No wonder I'm so cranky. I'm starving." Lissa laughed loudly making Juliette cringe, she remembered watching Lissa bite the feeders and remembered how it felt when Lissa fed from her. "I forgot how much I did not miss this." Juliette shivered and avoided looking at the feeders, "Hey, no feeder is brought here against their will. They can leave any time that they want to." Lissa reminded making the Dhampir girl turn to her and say dryly "Yeah, it's just a one-year service limit, and their memories are officially compulsed upon departure. That's completely normal."
"Don't feel too sorry for the feeders. If you recall, the bitee does get something out of the process. Oh, there's Norrine. Here." Lissa said handing Oscar to Juliette who gracefully grabbed him and left the room and put him on the floor to go wander around "Juliette! Come and keep a decrepit man company." Victor said making Juliette jump and go for a punch which was caught in time by the Guardian, that was accompaning him. "I'm so sorry. Damn I should wear a sign that warns people not to sneak up on me." Juliette muttered under her breath. Victor Dashkov chuckled and sat down making Juliette follow his actions, "While you were gone, did Lissa get any closer to declaring? That is if you are up to date with every single information."he asked her as he sipped the blood from the tube. "I am Prince Dashkov and there's not a lot of places to practice magic in Portland." she smiled making the sick prince say nodding "Oh, true, true." Juliette look around quickly before whispering to him "On the subject of non-declarers, I would to know why, when I brought up Ms. Karp's name yesterday, you all acted like I had committed a muteny." " Karp has always been a few corpuscles shy of a full artery. She didn't have a Dhampir to look after her." He said before sipping some more blood. "I know you have your special bond with Lissa, but it makes her escape that much more alarming. I'm on her side, Juliette, but we live in a worldwhere the bogeymen are real." Prince Dashkov told her.
"I know. I'm still a little freaked-out and pumped. I was there last night when that Strigoi attacked, and I don't know where those refexes came from, I guess that I didn't want Lissa to get hurt to I guess that those 'Dhampir Instincts' as Lissa calls them kicked in and allowed me to you know.... kill it." Juliette confessed to the older looking man, she still might not trust him fully but she thought that since he knew some things he needed to know others. "Don't train yourself too hard Juliette. Why are you..." he started but Natalie Dashkov let something drop causing everyone to jump out of their skins. "I know you have your life mission to protect Lissa, but would you now and again look out for my Natalie?" Prince Dashkov asked kindly making the two of them look at the young Princess.
Juliette hummed ad looked at the geek like girl, "She's a goofball, but I do cherish her." the sick prince chuckled kindly. "Yes. Well, she worships her father. She would do anything for you Lissa told me so." Juliette half confessed, "I must go to her." the Royal Moroi said getting up along with Juliette. "Hey." Lissa said as she walked out of the feeders room. "Hi." Juliette beamed back at her feeling her blonde best friend now completely satisfied and happy. "Do I have anything..." Lissa asks showing her teeth in a way that one would say that she was trying to be scary. "Just fat-lady feeder breath. Here." The blue eyed girl says giving a mint sweet to Lissa who took it happily.
"So, do you even know your feeders?" Juliette interrogates, never having really been to the feeders. "Norrine's recently divorced, and she's catching up on some me-time. She writes Twilight fan-fiction." Lissa said, Juliette laughed and said "Have you read any of it?" "Oh, God, no." Lissa said making the two girls laugh lowly just before Natalie walked up to them and said "Juliette, Princess Vasilisa. I mean, Lissa. You said I could call you Lissa, but if I can't anymore, that's totally fine.", " Hello, Natalie" Lissa giggled before Natalie said "By the soul of St. Vlad's, so much has happened. Nothing bigger than your escape,of course. Why did you escape? Did you hear Sheila Flightand Bruce Bugsburger broke up? Apparently, Bruce still has his baby fangs, and it freaks Sheila out."
'Should we ask her about Aaron's new girlfriend?' Juliette mentally asked Lissa as they looked at each other with a small smile 'Well she does know all of the school's gossip since I left so maybe I don't know keep her around?' Lissa responded the same way before the two nodded.
