Chapter 7:
When I finally open my eyes, the sun is sitting low in the sky behind the parted curtains. Beneath me, Philip stirs, mumbles sleepily, and sighs contentedly. Glancing around, I see that we are on the floor. I look down at my body and a blush spreads across my cheeks. The only thing covering me up is the t-shirt that I was wearing before...... I slowly turn my head to look at Philip and, once again, my face flames. He was stark naked and pressed up against me, arms wrapped around my waist, making it hard not to notice his morning stiffy. I gently pull myself away from his sleeping form and grab the downy comforter off of his bed. Wrapping it around me, I kneel next to Philip and cover him with the shirt. His eyes crack open and he instantly smiles up at me.
"Hey, D, how you feeling?" he asks softly, sitting up and pulling me towards him.
I open up the blanket and we snuggle up together beneath it. "I feel great. Maybe a little stiff from sleeping on the floor, but other than that I'm alright." Poking his chest, I grin, "I know you're stiff." He blushes and smiles sheepishly.
Brushing his soft black hair out of his eyes, he wraps his arms around me and whispers into my neck, "I think we can take care of that." His lips trail gentle kisses up my neck and along my jaw, finally reaching my smiling lips.
"I couldn't have said it better myself." With that we begin our second round, shooting off of the floor and onto his awaiting bed.

"Jenna, I don't think he actually meant to say that where you could hear him, " I point out yet again. Sitting on her front porch in the late afternoon sunlight, my tiny blond friend just looks at me and smirks.
"I know that, but he couldn't deny it when I confronted him!" Her bubbling peals of laughter ring in my ears and I can't help but to grin at her amusement. The whole reason we were laughing was because Jenna's crush, Lewis, had been asking his friends how he should ask her out.
"Whatever you say, Jenna. Anyway, I need to figure out what I'm going to do about the whole bruise thing..." My fingers instantly move to touch my neck where fading purplish blue bruises ring all the way around. Jenna's eyes narrow as she stares at them, anger flashing in her eyes.
"Don't you think you should go to the police? I mean, you're dad attacked you, practically tried to kill you, and you let it go just like that?" Her words make me hunch in on myself and I stare at my hands dejectedly.
