"Are you at least gonna tell me where you're dragging me to?" Kuro groaned.

"The," you paused for dramatic effect, "Amusement park!!!"

Kuro rolled his eyes and looked at you strangely, "why?"

"Cause it'll be fuuuuuuun!"

"You do realize I'll be on your shoulder the whole time, right?"

"Yeah, but it'll still be fun!"

"Whatever."

The sun was shining brightly, barely obscured by the white fluffy tufts that floated through the sky. Kuro however, didn't seem too pleased as he stayed lazily perched on your shoulders.

"Are we there yet?" He groaned, his eyes worn dull with disinterest and boredom.

"No, but it's a short walk, why don't you look around, it's a beautiful day."

"Ugh, what a pain," he sighed.

You rolled your eyes, wishing he'd be a little more enthusiastic.

~Time-Skip~

The amusement park was pretty fun, but you wished Kuro could transform and join you. Luckily the evening was fast approaching.

You turned on your heel, when your eyes lit up with excitement.

"Oh! Look Kuro! A Ferris wheel!" You exclaimed, "I've never actually ridden one before!"

The black feline perched upon your shoulder turned his head lazily to look at the sight before him. Before he could speak, you were hurrying off in the direction of the wheel.

Kuro yelped and dug his claws into the fabric of your shirt. You winces and apologized for suddenly taking off so quickly and proceeded slower this time.

When you got there, the line was actually pretty short. Within minutes you were getting in your seat and the wheel began to turn. The higher you got, the more the sun began to set. Just as you reached the top, dusk set in and Kuro transformed.

"Kuro!" You beamed, hugging him.

He flinched, taken aback by your sudden affection.

"How troublesome..." he said in a tired tone, your smile faded for a moment and a voice in your head spoke again.

He doesn't like you.

A look of dejection flashed upon your features when you heard the voice.

"You okay?" Kuro eyed you skeptically.

"Hm? Yeah, I'm okay.."

Kill him!

The voice demanded again.

"What?" You lifted your head in confusion.

"I didn't say anything," Kuro replied.

"Oh, heheh- sorry."

Kill him.

You looked away and a smile returned on your face again, "look Kuro!"

He stood and walked over, together you looked down on the lights of the park.

"Wow! It's so beautiful!"

"It is," Kuro said softly.

Suddenly the small light in the top of the compartment flickered before the light completely shut off. Suddenly the whole compartment lurched forward.

With a yelp, you fell into Kuro's chest as he fell against the wall. The two of you were engulfed in complete darkness. You backed away slightly so your eyes could meet with Kuro's. His crimson eyes gleamed in the darkness.

Oh no, the ride broke down.
