Chapter 2:
The Boys
🌺 Madison's POV 🌺
When we had arrived at my house, we hopped out of the car and casually walked to the front door as if we owned the place. I unlocked the door with the keys I had grabbed from mom and walked in, leaving the door open for my mother. I set the keys on the bar table and watched Alexis make a beeline straight to my room. "Sorry it's a bit messy" I spoke nervously. She didn't seem to mind the couple shirts on my floor and my unmade bed.
Why on earth didn't I clean my room, she must think I'm a slob. Great!
I sighed and walked over to my bed and sat down. We had went out to the kitchen hours later when mom had made hamburgers on the grill.
"Hey, Maddie guess what" she said with a smirk on her face. Yes, Maddie or Mads was her nickname for me. I turned on my heel in response. She grabbed a pickle slice, and slapped me with it. "Can I have extra pickles with that" she blurted out while laughing. That had been our inside joke for years and we were just now rekindling it.
I laughed and wiped the pickle juice off of my face and started to eat the hamburger. Once we were done we went back into my room. For a few hours we scrolled through Instagram, looked at memes, and played music on my TV. Later that night we had decided to pull a prank that would change my life.
A prank on Mason Andrews, Alexis' ex boyfriend.
"Hey do you wanna pull a prank on my ex boyfriend with me?"
"Sure, but what do we do?"
"Okay me and you will log into his account and text that guy you have a crush on-- Brandon I think. Oh well, anyway we're gonna cause trouble and cause an argument while mason's sleeping. He'll have no idea that it was us!"
Brandon Hartford was one of the cutest bad boys at my school. He had the prettiest shade of blonde hair, and the brightest baby blue eyes. If you looked into his eyes, you felt like you were staring into a blue lagoon. His voice sounded like it belonged to an angel. Brandon was like a legitimate angel sent from hell. I recognized that I was staring off into space when Alex pushed my arm slightly making me snap back into reality.
"Hello? Earth to Madison! Quit dreaming about your lover!" she snapped.
Oh my gosh! That was so embarrassing!
"Sorry, I spaced out but yeah let's do it!" I quickly answered trying my best to act normal. She gave me an unsure smile, then quickly switched it into a sneaky smirk and moved her eyes back to her phone.
It was 10:37 at night when we had decided to do the prank. (A/N: Madison and Alexis are on Mason's account if you can't tell :p.)
Mason: hey I wanna tell u something...u don't know me but I wanna tell u this one thing
Brandon: sure? What's up
Mason: I know this girl Madison... Maddie if you prefer...and I just wanna say if u do absolutely ANYTHING to hurt her I s2g man I will beat yo ass. I also wanna say ur girlfriend kiara looks like a wanna be prostitute
Brandon: ight man Idk who tf u think u are but u ain't got no rights to talk to me like that. Kiara is my Queen and shes perfect. And Maddie? We're friends and @ least I ain't no woman abuser like you are. Maddie and Alexis told me about that a few minutes ago.
Mason: go 'head & keep talking, ur petty self don't scare me, if u got a problem with it, I'm in Florida so come on, I'll be waiting for u
Brandon: listen lil boy, I got niggas in Tennessee that will go looking for u and hurt u so bad u'll be crying for ur mommy. I hung out with Maddie the other day at Daytona Beach, she's actually pretty chill.
"Alex, I think this is good. We can just stop here for now." I stated quietly, breaking the silence and the pressure of trying not to explode with laughter. Alexis groaned and answered Brandon one more time before we finally quit.
Mason: whatever I ain't spending my precious time talking to a prostitutes dumbass boy toy. So bye I got better things to do.
After we sent the last text we switched back to our own accounts and got comfortable in my bed to sleep. As we closed our eyes, I felt a feeling. A feeling of worry. It was then I had realized that I had developed a small feeling towards the complete stranger that was Mason Andrews.
