The Riverview Post
This is a very sad day bestowed on our town. Last night, March 23, around 6 o'clock, one of our own took his life.
Tristan Prissin was found by his 10-year-old brother with his wrist slit. From what the police have released, Tristan had died from blood loss and there had been a note written.
Some people believe that he was bullied at school, that being was the reasoned he killed himself, while overs figure it was because of problems at home. One student, Addie Long, told reporters that there was a bullying problem at the school and she believes that Tristan was a subject of the bullying.
"I didn't really know Tristan. He didn't really talk to anyone at school. But I had seen him in the hallways. He always looked like he was in pain and most of the time had this look on his face. I had heard some of the rumors that went around about him. I didn't believe a word that they said, most people at school are looking for attention any way that can get it." She stated before adding,
"I don't know about him being physically bullied but emotionally, yes, maybe even mentally."
His parents weren't very forthcoming about any information, nor for they give any interviews, but we went out and talked to the neighbors.
"Yeah, there was always some yelling coming from that house," Bob Green, the next door neighbor, told us in an interview. "Tristan never seemed to act like it after him. Sometimes, when the yelling got really bad, he would come outside a sit on the curb. I never felt it was right for me to go over and bother him. He always had headphones in or something, so I didn't think he needs help. I wish I could go back and help him."
This is a story that has gone around a bunch. Everyone wished that could have seen the signs the something bad was happening with Tristan. Sometimes we want to change has had happened but that is not how he works worked, sadly.
We also went to the high school asking about the bullying at the school.
"If there was a bullying problem at the high school, we were unaware." The principal of Riverview High School, Richard Drake, responded to the question, then continued. "Teenagers will be teenagers. They may do dumb things but at the end of the day, that is the reasonability of the parent and the teen to set boundaries and rules, not of the school." He wouldn't answer any other follow-up questions.
This would leave unanswered questions in the air, making some of us believe that the school is trying to hide things from the public.
This Sunday, March 16, there will be a Memorial held for anyone to show up and mourn the loss of Tristan.
Hopefully, we can learn from this experience with Tristan and help keep our teens alive to see another day. Parents, play attention to your teen. Notice any difference in their behavior, ask them about it, show that you are there for them. Teenagers, remember that things get better and there is a reason to live. Talk to your parents, get some help if needed, we need every one of you to make it to your future.
I hope you have learned from Tristan's experience that not everything is as seen, even your best friend could be going through hell. Know the warning signs, know how to get help and know how to support your friends of going through a depression, suicidal thoughts, self-harming or anything else like that, it could save a life. Just having an idea can help save a life.
Your Author,

I hope you like this story, it is my first complete story I have ever done.
Just so you know, this story was completely made up. If this sounded like some other story, it was pure constants. I made up everything, plot, names, and places.
The first chapter is based on my own thoughts during this fight my dad and his girlfriend were having. No, I don't do any kind of self-harm, I'm not bullied or am I suicidal. I just thought you should know.
Once again, I hope you enjoyed my story, and thank you.
