Soooo.... I'm totally asking my best friend out to be my prom date. Prom is on May 6th. I'm actually kinda nervous that she'll say "no". I mean I asked her to go and just hang out with me. But now I'm gonna actually ask her to be my for real prom date. She doesn't necessarily know that I like her or have any kind of romantic feelings for her. So that's why I'm kinda scared to ask her. Plus idek if she CAN go yet. So, that'll make it a smidge harder. But if she can't then that's cool and i understand. But if she doesn't want to go as my prom date, then that will suck and make things awkward. More for me probably than for her.
But like, my plan/idea is totally cheesy. I'm gonna draw her a picture: A rose inside a heart. And I'm gonna do what i can for a big poster board and put those words on it. I'm gonna be on my knee like an actual proposal. I'll have two little slips of paper: one with "yes" and one with "no" on them. And I'm gonna do it in the cafeteria after our last class (which we have together ) right before i go to the bus and go home. Also, I've got a sidekick in on this and she's gonna help me and then imma get her to record it. I'm actually excited. This is my first prom and I think it will be cool doing this whole promposal thing. Plus the prom itself will be cool i think. Especially if she says yes and everything, obviously. I
m actually gonna talk to my grandma and make sure that It's ok if I ask her out ("her" being my friend). If she says I can, and my friend says yes to going and being my prom date, then I'm going to be a total cliche and ask her to be my girly-friend at prom.
Anytways! Wish me luck! I'll let y'all know how it goes down when it does. I've gtg to bed. I was trying to go before 11 but that clearly failed seeing as how it's practically 11:30 now. So, have a goodnight y'all. Or have a good day where ever you're at.
