19. Never Be Mine"Ash." I shouted as I opened the door.
"Ellis." He shouted back. "Love the place."
"Thanks." I got my purse and we both left the apartment.
He took me everywhere and we bought a ton of stuff.
"That waiter was totally checking you out." Ash whispered to me.
"I saw." I muttered back.
"You and Zander." He still had no idea, so I quickly explained everything that has happeed.
"What happens if your parents find out?" He asked me.
"Then we're toast." He let out a giggle as the waiter came back out.
"Anything else." He politely asked.
"Nothing."
"Bye, Sweetheart." He gave a small smile and left.
"I have an actual boyfriend." I had surprisingly forgotten about Aiden all day.
"Yeah, the guy who you cancelled a date on to go on a double date with a nearly married guy."
"You make it seem bad."
"Because it is." He finally mustered out.
"I'm a terrible human being, I don't deserve anybody." We had walked out and I was crying in his car.
"Your not, we'll you are but your not." He was so confusing sometimes.
-
"Aiden." I smiled as I saw him sitting in class. I hadn't sat next to him as I was a bit late so I sat at the front but I had decided to at least talk to him.
I felt guilty for not even sending a text to him. He had been all weekend trying to text, call to make plans for a date. Our last dates were nice. Not overly fabulous but great.
"Eloise." He smiled back.
"How was your weekend?"
"Good." He simply replied.
"Cool." I gave a small smile before walking away. I had nothing else to say to him and clearly he wanted to leave.
Boringist conversation in the world but it almost felt normal. Our conversations weren't as interesting as they used to be when we were friends. Had it got awkward between us.
-
"Hurry up Eloise." Florence muttered to me, we were looking at flowers, and most were just weird colour matched together.
Zander had come and was looking at some blue ones, I joined his side looking at the only nice ones.
"They match your eyes." I told him. His eyes almost changed from green to blue when the sun hit it.
"Thanks." He smiled back, I felt so short against his lean body. Just having the feeling that he could never be mine made me sad. Not the kind of sad where If I don't get this toy I'm going to cry. The sadness that I'm never going to wake up with him making pancakes in the morning. Or to have a family with him. Seeing him everyday, getting old together. Just being together, that will never happen. A pit of dismay hit me, so hard I could have launched back. He wasn't mine. He was her's.
I looked down, not able to hide the tears that were forming, I sniffled a little before walking away from him.
"Are you ok?" Zander chased up, to my side.
"Perfect." I gave a sour smile out.
"You're crying." He pointed out.
"Am I?" I asked dumbly.
"Come on, I want to show you something." He grasped my hand as Florence had gone with the lady to see some roses. I was more of a tulip girl. The queen had followed as well, so it was pretty much deserted.
I got dragged along until we were outside the flower shop, we couldn't carry on holding hands as people would have seen and thought he was cheating. Which was surprisingly true. I'd turned into a cheater. Michael and Katy knew all about the little rouse that was happening. Axel had figured it out and Carter already knew.
I trusted that kid now, he was so anti social and scared for being gay. When he shouldn't be? His brother and friends supported him. I had remembered how he wanted Zander and I to help him get his parents on board. They couldn't disown him. Their mother was a bit strict, and a bit harsh in situations and their father well, the 5 minutes I had talked to him were the most scariest 5 minutes ever. It wasn't even my fault, well it was. We shouldn't have got caught? Or even kissed.
"Where we going?" I asked him, standing an inch apart from him, crows of people crowded to the side and I could see some bodyguards about.
When I had gone the diner with Ash, nobody had bothered coming to me. Nobody really cared about the French royal family. But they knew I wasn't from England. With my thick French accent. I was only good at English because we had connections and the three years in America really helped. Half the people in France understand English bits but don't know how to speak it.
I couldn't wait to see them all at Christmas. It was coming up as well, in a two months time, I would be able to see my family and Axel. Katy was coming to France as well and even coming for Halloween, but Axel wouldn't be coming. I could finally set them both up. Michael was coming for the wedding and I couldn't wait to see him, even though he was coming to Halloween as well.
Halloween was coming up as well and everyone at class was buzzing for the annual Halloween party, I wouldn't be going as their was going to be a ball on that day. Zander and Florence were going together. I would have asked Aidan if I wasn't annoyed at everyone and I just wanted to be the one in Zander's arms.I had known Zander for nearly 3 months know and enjoyed every moment with him.
I still needed to get a dress. Ugh!
It needed to be fabulous, it needs to be better then Florence's. Maybe I should go with Ash so Carter can spend time with him.
I was so lost in thought, that I hadn't realized Zander staring at me.
"Come along Elo." He gave a grin allowing me to see his perfect jawline and little dimples.
