On tour (MCR, FOB, P!ATD, TØP fanfic)

Chapter Eight: New Jersey

Ollie's POV

New Jersey. At the beginning of the tour, I wasn't too excited by it. But when Perri told me that Gerard and Mikey Way, Frank Iero and Ray Toro would be coming to the show, I practically did a backflip. MCR were my heroes! Well, when they were together that is. I found it odd that the band was broken up, yet they were all coming to the show together.

On stage, I looked to my left to once again see the Panic groupies. They weren't always the same people, yet there was one with a pretty face and long dark hair that always came to the show, no matter where it was. She must have travelled a lot.

I scanned the crowd for the members of MCR. They weren't that hard to find, to be honest. They seemed to be enjoying our performance.

We finished our regular set, TØP finished their one, and so did FOB. As usually, it went by pretty quickly, honestly, it seemed like just a normal show. That is, until Patrick said something unexpected.

"Now, as some of you may have realised, we have a few special guests in the audience" He said, greeted by cheers and pointing. "Will the former members of My Chemical Romance please join us on stage?"

The applause was deafening. My jaw dropped as I watch them from the wings.

Gerard took the mic. "A few years ago, My Chemical Romance decided to stop making music together" He said, followed by a round of boos. "This year, we have made the collective decision..." He paused for effect. I hardly dared to breathe. Was he really about to say what I thought he was about to say?

"To reunite as a band"

The crowd exploded with screams. Everyone backstage started jumping up and down. Except me. I just sunk to my knees in shock and starting crying and laughing hysterically.

The band who saved so many lives, including mine, was getting back together.

I couldn't control my excitement.

Gerard's POV

When the boys first texted me about the return of My Chemical Romance, I have to admit, I was skeptical. I mean, what about Frank? He had his own band, his own responsibilities! I couldn't just intrude on that. Plus, that boy broke my heart. But when I texted him, the old butterflies returned and I realised that this was one of his best ideas.
Me: hey frankie, the boys want to get the band back together. did you here?
Frankie: of course I knew!!!! it was my idea! :) do you want us to get back together??
My heart started to thud.
Me: omg yes!!! sorry about the fangirling moment. we should get to know each other like we did before. :)
I was excited, this was the Frankie that I fell in love with.
Frankie: damn right we should, we'll meet up in Rays house next Monday at 2 ! can't wait to see you x

I squealed. I actually squealed. A high pitched, uncontrolled shriek. It was Monday today. I had to wait an ENTITE WEEK to see my beloved Frank again. A whole lifetime. Sort of.

The week past like a slug climbing a drainpipe. When the morning finally came, I got up early, washed my hair (blue at the moment), and spent half an hour trying to pick and outfit. It the end, I chose my best leather jacket and skintight black skinny jeans. I matched those with my danger days t-shirt. My brother picked me up in the red van I hated so much. I was so nervous, I was bouncing my leg up and down against the cold floor. The journey took forever.
"Why so impatient, Gee?" Mikey asked, smirking slightly. "What's got you so riled up? I know you're excited, but really. Cut it out."
"I'm sorry, Mikey. I'm just... uh... nervous about seeing Frank again."
Mikey grinned and chuckled. "Just because you never got over your mega crush on him?"
I went a violent shade of red, similar to my hair colour during the Danger Days era. "Ssssshhh! The fan girls mustn't know."
Mikey giggled again. I shot him a look. He left me alone for the rest of the journey. We sat in perfect silence.
