Chapter One: Dreams

Alli's POV
I woke to squeals, as my over enthusiastic roommate Ollie jumped on my bed.
"Ugh Ol it's only 7:00 why are you up?"

I groaned, I was not a morning person.

"Alli! THEY tweeted!" Ollie squeaked.

That grabbed my attention.
"Wait, Patrick?"

"Well kinda" Ollie replied.

"Ok, spill." I said, now excited, I was a massive Patrick Stump fan.

At that moment my equally crazy flatmate Perri ran in.
"WeMightBeAbleToGoOnTourWithPANIC!!" She screamed, way to fast to understand.

"What" I was confused.

"That's what I was trying to tell her!" Ollie said slightly annoyed.
"Fall Out Boy are running a competitions to try and find a band to open for them on their tour with panic! We have to enter Al"
"Please Alliiii" added Perri.

Me, Ollie, Perri and our friends Dave and Carter were in a band called They Never Will, I sung and played lead guitar, Perri played bass guitar, Carter the rhythm guitar, Dave was our drummer and Ollie did lead vocals. We've been playing together for two years and we're inseparable. We didn't have much of a following, our biggest fan was our friend and make shift manager Kim. We've never really played for more then 50 people, we were basically a generic Emo band. This could be our shot at making it and getting the people to inspire us to take notice.

"Of course!! We probably won't win but it's worth a shot." I said.
"What's rules then?"

"So we have to send in a video of us performing one of their songs and then sit back and wait." Answered Perri.
"What should we do then?" Questioned Ollie.
"I know the perfect song" I grinned.

Perri's POV

I set up the camera in front our performing space, making sure everything is perfect.

"Everyone knows the chords, right?" I double checked. Everyone nodded simultaneously.

Kim, our manager, smiled. "Alright guys, we only got one shot at this. Make it a good one."

Carter rolled his eyes. "Kim, calm down. We're probably not even gonna win this. We'll have other chances."

Kim furrowed her eyebrows. "Carter, this band has been active for over a year now, and exactly how many venues have you played?"

Carter looked down, not wanting to say the very low number Kim was alluding to.

I slipped the bass over my shoulder and looked at Alli. She nodded at Kim, who immediately pressed play on the camera as Alli started singing.

"I thought of angels

choking on their halos

Get them drunk on rose water"

We sounded good. Really good. I could see Kim smiling at us from behind the camera, which she rarely did when we performed.

We carried on for the rest of the song. Alli made the right choice when she chose Just One Yesterday. Her voice was perfect for this song, and Ol killed Foxes' part.

"Just one yesterday"

Alli sang the last chord, and Kim hit stop on the camera.

"Well" I began. "How, did we do?"

Kim smirked.

"Well, guys, there's gonna be a lot of competition out there..." She said. "But I think Fall Out Boy would be crazy not to choose us as the winner!"

We all cheered and high fived each other. I twirled around and strummed a few random chords on my bass.

I had a feeling we were gonna win this.

So here we are, a new story. We're going try our hardest to keep this regular, we're on spring break at the moment so it'll be harder to update then but we'll see.
