Gale and Nova

(This is a special chapter from my FT Next Gen Texts!)

"Alright this is perfect! Lance is out on a job, mom is with Sorcerer Weekly, and dad is staying at the guild for the rest of the day! We have plenty of time to search Lance's room." Nova said excitingly. Gale laughed and nodded knowing how much Nova was one to ship people. They stepped into Nova's quite home and opened Lance's door. Inside was a simple room with a few posters of Fairy Tail and clothes scattered here and there. Aside from that, he had a pretty clean and organized room. Nova buried into his desk where he keeps all his job requests, while Gale looked at the picture of Sylvia under his pillow. She was sitting on a bench outside of the guild hall with her legs crossed smiling brightly. Gale continued to look around his bed area until he heard Nova gasp.

"What's wrong?" Gale asked quickly turning around. She was holding a white paper with neat handwriting. Nova was so shocked that she just motioned her hand towards her quickly. He walked up to her and read the letter aloud:

Dear Sylvia,

This may sound strange to you, but I have to be honest. I've had feelings for you for a while. I know that you have feelings for Akatsuki, but my feelings are stronger. Unlike him, I can protect you from anything that wants to harm you. I show you how I feel more often than he does. It's not my place to ask what he shows when you're alone, but I don't think he shows as much as he's supposed to if he really loves you. Understand that I'd do anything to make you be happy or feel protected, even if it costs my own life. Consider my confession to you. Please, I love you too much.

A tear fell from Nova's face and she hugged Gale.

Gale gently caressed her and she said, "We have to tell Sylvia."

"What?! No! Lance has to do this on his own. We can't help him, all we can do is support." Gale responded pulling away from Nova's hug. Nova put the letter back where it was and walked to his door.

"Nova."

"Yeah Gale?"

"It's been a few months since he wrote this letter..."

"You can smell it huh?"

"Yup."

Nova sighed and walked out of her home with Gale as they went to rest their minds over some ice cream.
