Cathy's POV
It's late and I'm not sure if the girls are awake. If they are, I'm for sure going to be grilled with questions as to where I was or if I was with anyone. If I'm being honest, I'm really not in the mood to answer them. Not for anything I'm just tired and it's been a terribly long day.
When I reach the door, it isn't closed all the way. I push it open and walk into the room. The lamps are on and the girls are awake sprawled out over the beds.
"How come you guys didn't close the door?" I ask, taking off Kenna's toms.
"We didn't know if you had a key so we just left it open." Emily clarifies.
"But I think the bigger question is where on earth did you run off to?" Kenna asks dramatically, as though she's expecting this great story to tell.
"I went for a walk. Didn't you get my text?" I ask Emily. I walk into the bathroom to find a hair tie so I can pull my hair out of my face. When I'm done putting it up, I join the girls on the bed.
They're all just looking at me with expectant expressions. "What?" I groan.
"We asked Ricky where you went," Alex starts and I roll my eyes.
Of course they asked Ricky.
"What did he have to say?" I wonder if he was truthful with them.
"He said that you two got into an argument at dinner, so you left." Emily adds.
"Sure he did," I mumble grabbing a pillow from behind Kenna and bringing it up to my chest. "Can we not talk about Ricky please?"
"Sure, but where did you go that you were gone for three hours?" Emily asks. I want to tell them to stop but I know they're only doing it to see if I was alright. I would be curious if one of them snuck off without saying where they were going or who they were with, so I should at least answer their burning questions.
"I went for a walk," I play with the corner of the pillow. "With Harry."
They all shoot each other worried glares. To be honest I wish they wouldn't. Harry is just a friend; he was there for me.
"You can all relax because all we did was talk." I try to put a rest to the wild thoughts they must be thinking.
"Well I think that's cute." Alex breaks the silence.
"So he really is a nice guy then?" Emily asks as her eyes go wide. Ever since I can remember, Emily has had this "crush" on Louis. She won't admit it, but it shows whenever she talks about him or something he said. None of the other girls really support the idea of Emily chasing after him because they sort of think he's trouble. I've had conversations with him before, he's nothing close to trouble. I'm just waiting for Emily to at least admit to me that she has a thing for him. I wouldn't judge her for it, in fact I think we're almost in the same situation.
"Yeah," I feel heat rush to my cheeks as I remember the kind and supportive things Harry had said just a few minutes ago. "He's funny too."
"So Louis was right." Em blushes at the thought of Louis.
"Are you going to continue seeing him like that?" Alex asks.
"Like what? What do you mean?" I question.
"In secret."
Was it secret? I mean it's not like I lied about it or anything. It was kind of just a last minute thing. Would I have kept it a secret? Should I?
"It wasn't necessarily in secret."
"You don't like him, do you?" Kenna fires at me and I don't know what to say.
