Tonight was Mischief Night! Also known as Coach's birthday, which was why Stiles and I were heading to the Coach's office, and Stiles was telling Scott to get here now. "Get your ass down here now. We have a job to do. We do this for Coach. Whatever, okay? You know he needs this. He lives for this stuff. You know, he loves it." Stiles opened his locker, handing me the flashlight, which I took. "12:15, actually."
"Which means it's after midnight and officially Mischief Night/Day," I said with a smile, knowing Scott could hear me, Stiles handing me a power drill. "And by perfectly awesome coincidence, it's also happens to be Coach's birthday. And this year, we get to pick the prank."
"So if you're not down here in five seconds, you know she will destroy you," Stiles told Scott on the phone. "And with the gun, crossbow, and knife skills she learned from Allison, you're in some serious trouble if you're not down here in five. And she's got a powers drill. And we mean five, four--“
"Three, two," I kept at it as Stiles turned around.
Scott was standing there, his eyes glowing red as he came closer to me and Stiles, scaring Stiles so much he fell to the floor, and the glow faded from Scott's eyes.
Scott smiled as he finished, "One."
I laughed, and he held out his hand for a high five, I high fived it as we stopped laughing.
"I hate both of you," Stiles said from the floor.

We saw the twins talking to Scott as we got out of the Jeep, and we walked toward them.
"You're back in school?" Scott asked.
"No, just to talk," Ethan answered.
"Oh, that's kind of a change of pace for you guys," I said as we stood next to Scott. "Usually, you're just hurting, maiming and killing."
Aiden ignored me, looking at Scott. "You need a pack. We need an Alpha."
"Yeah," Stiles said. "Absolutely not. That's hilarious, though."
"You came to us for help," Ethan said. "We helped."
"You beat his face into a bloody pulp," I said. "That's not helping. In my opinion, that's actually counter-productive."
"Why would I say yes?" Scott asked.
"We'd add strength," Aiden said. "We'd make you more powerful. There's no reason to say no."
"I can think of one," Isaac said from the other side of Scott. When did he get there? "Like the two of you holding Derek's claws while Kali impaled Boyd. In fact, I don't know why we're not impaling them right now."
Aiden growled, looking up with his fangs out and eyes glowing blue. "You want to try?"
Isaac stepped closer, but Scott grabbed his wrist to stop him.
"Sorry, but they don't trust you," Scott said. "And neither do I."
All four of us walked past them, not taking another look back.

As Stiles, Scott and I walked in the door, someone threw a roll of toilet paper, and I ducked, letting it hit Stiles as he said, "Oh, that's my face!" He threw it at me, and I laughed. "Thanks for letting it hit me."
"You're welcome," I said. I turned to Scott. "Hey, dude, good decision, buddy. Good Alpha decision."
"I hope so," Scott said as we walked down the hall.
"No, you know so," Stiles said. When we got to his locker, he asked me, "You got the eggs?"
"Oh, yeah," I said, unzipping my bag when I noticed Scott looking down the hall. I turned my head to see Kira at her locker, kneeling down to pick up something she dropped.
