the gallaghers

double date?

My Mom and Bill have been seeing each other for about a month now that means Alex and I have been hanging out awfully a lottt
And we were all sitting down for dinner yesterday while Bill said do you guys want to have a double date
What???

Not being able to answer Alex answered for me and So currently it is 4 o'clock on a Thursday and getting ready for this so what called double date
I grabbed my pink cropped sweater with some skinny jeans and high tops and curled my hair

" so isn't this uh kind of weird to call a double date because you know my mom and you are a thing and yeah a little awkward?" I asked bill who was getting in the car
"Umm then think of it as a family day" he smiled i pressed my lips together and put my head down back up to sit back in the car seat "um ya family day" my mom always just called "family" me and her

"Alexx watch outt' i yelled before shooting bill who was on the other team
"Thanks" he said before putting his lazzer gun up
I didnt think my mom would like lazer tag but looks like she dose "Get my mom" i yelled at alex who got a perfect shot
"And we winnn" i shout as alex hugged me
"Good job kids" bill hugged both of us i could get use to this

"Byee" my mom and i waved to bill and alex after they dropped us off
"Can i go to carls mom" i asked when we walked in the door
"Ya sure have fun" she said kissing my head and with that i ran down the road to carls
I walked in the door and he was laying there watching t.v
"Hey wanna go walk around" i said as he got up and nodded
"So whos the boy" he asked looking at me " oh alex? Hes bills son" i said walking down the steps

"Dont get your foot stuck please" carl said as i walked on the train tracks.
"Hey um can you tell me the rest" he asked but i wasn't sure what he was talking about
"You know you said theres more but thats for another day" he said grabbing my hand so were both on a track
"Oh ya that... umm sure" i didn't really want to talk about it but its carl i trust him alot.
"Ok well i trust you alot carl so this is why im actually telling you" i said looking at him and he just smiled
"Ok umm my dad he would make his friends do stuff to me or   most of the time he would have my mom watch and if she tryed to stop him he would um..he would cut her she would bleed..alot"i said as flash backs flooded my head
"When he was drunk it hurt so much i had to cry so i would get hit more or sometimes" i said starting to cry
"Um.. sometime he would make his friend do me while he did other things to me" i pressed my lips together
"a teacher seen my bruises she came to my house and it didnt go so well carl...he hurt her and she was 5 months pregnant..she lost that baby" i said now in big tears carl just held my hand with no word its better that way
"God knows what he did to other girls or if he actually got caught with them" i dryed my tears as we walked by a river
"He um he would pin me under water sometimes" i sat down crossing my arms
"I was 6 when he first did that"
I remember it so well he asked me to come here and i thought he was gonna touch me agian but he pinned me under water till i would black out
"Iris..?" carl said with a weak voice i looked at him
"Y-" i was cut off by his lips on mine i kissed back hard shutting my eyes it felt sooo good i felt  safe with him i put a hand behind his neck before we pulled away
"Your so beautiful and so strong"he said kissing me agian

"Night see you at school" i said before walking in my front door
"O my goshhh" i smiled leaning on the door
