Reiner ran down the hallway as fast as his legs could take him. He seemed to be in full panic.
No no no no…!
He came up to Monika’s door just as she opened the door.
“Reiner?” the female reaper rose an eyebrow. “what are you-”
Monika was pushed back into her room before she could finish her sentence. Reiner stared at the empty hallways before shutting the door as fast as he could.
“Reiner!” yelled the younger reaper. “The hell is wrong with you!?”
The older reaper breathed for a bit before glancing at her. “If you want me to answer your question and not get caught, then you better shut up.” he said, glaring slightly. (Dang XD)
This answer surprised Monika. Never before has she seen Reiner this frustrated. Something’s wrong. “Reiner…? What happened…?” she asked again in a much quieter tone.
Reiner inhaled and exhaled. “It’s… About Ruvel..”
“Did Hades kill him???” Monika’s eyes widened at that thought. She begged and begged Reiner to continue.
Reiner shook his head. “No… What Hades did to him is far worse than actually killing him.” he said.
The older reaper gently whispered something to the youngling. She gasped.
“you… cannot be serious…” she said.
“If I was, I wouldn't be panicking..” Reiner replied.
Monika looked away from a moment. She then sensed his familiar presence and held both of Reiner’s hands. “he’s coming.. Go out there and act natural. Don’t show a bit of suspicion. You know how Ruvel is at spotting the details.” she said softly.
Reiner nodded and gave a small laugh. “yeah.. He is an artist.” he said. “Stay safe and keep those papers where they should be.”
The youngling nodded. “You can count on me..” she said.
Reiner nodded and opened the door into the hallway. After walking for a bit, a hand touched his shoulder and he jumped.
“... Reiner.”
