Ruvel opened his eyes. He didn’t realized that he had fallen asleep. He stared at down the sleeping Monika. He was about to question why she was in his room and why he was holding her, but then he remembered the conversation they had earlier this morning and he remembered that Monika was going to tag along with him at work.

Ruvel was all for this idea. For years, he had always wanted to do the work he hates with someone else so he could maybe keep them in company and work could be less painful.

Ruvel placed Monika on the bed carefully so he didn’t wake her then. He then moved into a different room to get dress.

On his way back to his room, he was once again greeted by the one and only brat, Milo. She crossed her arms and it looked like she was walking right towards him. Before she could say anything, Ruvel went into his room and pretty much closed the door into her face. Despite the cold action Ruvel performed, Milo stayed at his door and placed her ear against it and listened carefully.

Monika had began to wake up at this point. She looked over at Ruvel who was standing above. A small smile greet her. “Morning”

Monika smiled a little back. “M.. Morning…”

“How are you feeling after what happened earlier this morning?” Ruvel asked. Normally he wouldn’t ask a question like that but since it was Monika and not Reiner, Ruvel had to be a part more careful and a bit more aware of Monika’s mood. As he heard from Reiner, whether they were human or not, girls tend to be very, VERY complicated. The reason why was something Ruvel never figured out.

Monika sat up a little and looked at him. “I’m a little better…” she said. “Sleep didn’t really help that much.”

“Really” Ruvel rose an eyebrow. “Why?”

Monika thought for a bit before answering. “I.. Um… Don’t dream.”

“Ah..” Ruvel didn’t really show it but he was saddened by this. In his life, the only person who has never dreamed in their life was… Reiner… Ruvel shook his head a little. ‘No… I can’t think about Reiner right now..’ he thought, ‘Monika, as of right now, is more important.’

After a bit of talking, Ruvel opened the door and allowed Monika to get in front of him before leaving the room himself. He closed the door and walked down the hallway. Milo was there once again in front of them. Ruvel gave a sigh and placed a hand on Monika’s shoulder to not only to stop her from walking but to give her some comfort before Monika could explode again.

Milo walked up to the two while flashing her hair. She glanced at Monika and gave her a glare before looking at Ruvel with an angry and almost curious gaze. She then opened her stupid mouth. “What are you two doing?”

“Leaving so buzz off.” and with that said, Ruvel pretty much gave Monika a gentle push to move forward so they could get away from Milo and reach to the human world before something stupid and pointless happens. He didn’t want Monika to get into a bad mood again. No, Ruvel wanted to make her happy.

As he expected, reaping souls with Monika was pretty nice. Not only is Ruvel not alone anymore but Monika was about to show the young reaper a trick or two. Monika was strong and man she was good. With a little more practice, Ruvel can bet that she will be as strong as Reiner.

After all the souls have been retrieved, Ruvel turned to her. “Okay this last part.. Don’t tell anyone about this.” he said.

Monika nodded. “I won’t don’t worry.” Ruvel nodded back and took Monika to the sunflower field which is where the puppets were currently.

Latis and Diaval saw Ruvel land and they both quickly jumped up in excitement. They watched him walk into the shed and the two greeted him with bright smiles. “Hello Ruvel!” They both shouted in joy.
