Chapter 3

The next 2 classes went by and finally we were freeeeee. I sighed in relief as i realized today's Friday. 

¨H-Hey¨ i heard a voice say as i threw my stuff into my locker. I looked over to see Alex. 

¨Oh sup¨ i replied. 

¨not much i was just wanting to say thank you for helping me today¨ she said with a smile. 

¨No problem¨ i said and smiled back. She then turned around and walked off. She was really, really pretty. 

I walked out of the school building and i noticed Alex walking alone towards the woods. 

¨Hey wait up!¨ i shouted and she turned around and waited. I jogged over to her. 

¨hey what are you doing out here?¨ i asked as i got my breath back. 

¨Oh nothing i just thought the woods looked cool and wanted to check them out¨ she said looking into the woods. 

¨Well its kind of dangerous and well..¨ i leaned in and added ¨ its illegal to go in them¨ i whispered. 

¨O-Oh well i would still like to go¨ she said with a shrug. 

¨well ok, i can take you if you'd like some help¨ 

¨yes please that would be nice¨ she said grateful. 

¨Well lets go¨ i smiled and we headed towards the woods. We ducked under some barbed-wire and stumbled in. It was a shady day so the sunlight was coming perfectly through the trees making the woods look even more lovable. 

¨Whoa...¨ she exclaimed 

¨Its beautiful¨ i muttered. I remember when me and Devin first discovered this place. We sat in a tree and thats when she took my first kiss..

¨Hey you ok?¨ i heard  Alex ask me. I knocked myself back into reality. 

¨Uh yeah sorry..¨ i mumbled and walked on into the wood. 

Me and Alex walked around for hours just talking about life and where she came from. 

Apparently Alex had lived in California but as soon as she turned 18 she moved here...why she did i have no idea. 

¨Dont you have to be home soon?¨ she asked and i shook my head. 

¨No i told my parents im staying at a friends..¨ i mumbled 

¨Oh well where are they?¨ she asked. 

¨I dont have any friends¨ i muttered 

¨o-oh well where are you staying then?¨ she asked 

¨Out here i'll just sleep in a tree¨ i said shrugging

¨W-Well no. That's not safe, you can come to my house if you want?¨ she said politely. 

¨Oh uhm..well ok sure why not¨ i said shrugging. 

¨Well lets go then cause im kind of tired and hungry¨ she added chuckling. We walked out of the woods and i followed her as she walked to wherever she lived. 

We made it in front of a two story house with a pool in the back and i watched her grab the keys out of her pocket. She opened the door and i walked in behind her. 

¨Make yourself at home¨ she said nicely. I looked around the house, it was very nice. 

¨Whatcha wanna eat?¨ she asked. 

¨mm i dont know¨ i said with a shrug

¨Pizza?¨ she asked 

¨Sure¨ i replied. 

She smiled and picked up her phone dialing the pizza place. 

¨So Pizza's on the way now lets talk a little¨ she said sitting on the couch. I sat across from her. 

¨So why dont you have any friends? You seem really cool and you're nice¨ she said a little curious 

¨W-Well..¨ i stuttered 

¨Hey i wont judge you ok? i want to be your friend no matter what¨ she said soothingly. 

¨Well...there was this girl named Devin...i was new in town, like you, and she kind of adopted me i guess you could say. She was funny wild and edgy...she was everything i wasnt. She had guys and girls chasing her and she was just an amazing girl..¨ i felt myself tear up ¨Well she brought me into her group of friends and hung out with me even though all her friends hated me¨ i said chuckling ¨Then one night we were in the woods and she kissed me...¨ i whispered the last part. ¨We were basically in love after that but no one knew for about a month then she started hugging me and kissing me in public and word got around...all my old friends told me i was going to hell and made fun of me and even came up with dumb stories that i tried to rape them at our sleep overs...¨ i muttered. ¨But none of that mattered at the time because i had Devin and Devin had me..Well then..she left. One day i woke up in her bed from where we watched a movie all night and cuddled and i was in her t-shirt. I looked all around the house for her but never found her. Then i searched my house, then the woods, then her house again.............s-she was no where...i started panicking and i called the police...¨ I was crying for real now and i could feel Alex's glaze on me. ¨That...That was 5 months, 6 weeks, and 4 days ago...no one has heard/seen/ or found her..¨ I ended.

Suddenly i felt arms around me and i realized Alex was hugging me. After getting that realization i hugged her back and sighed. 

¨Im so sorry..¨ she whispered. 

¨it's fine..¨ i replied. 

¨It will all work out ok, maybe me and you could try and find her one day¨ she said siting up and letting go of me. 

¨R-Really?¨ i asked with a spark of hope 

She chuckled ¨Well yeah sure¨ she said. Suddenly the door bell rang and Alex got up 

¨Mmmm Pizza!¨ we both exclaimed
