Chapter 12

I woke up next to Alex and i felt the nervousness hit my stomach. I'm going to have to see Devin for the first time in 5 months since she left me and she decides to come back now? When im finally happy again and she wants to come in and...well ruin it? 

¨Morning¨ Alex's voice said, cutting me off from my thoughts. 

¨Morning¨ i replied back as i sat up. 

¨So it's 2 right now so we have a while till we have to go meet with Devin.¨ she mumbled off..

¨Y-Yeah...¨ i replied. 

I Rolled over to her and wrapped my arms around her. 

¨Hey¨ i whispered. ¨I love you ok? not her, you.¨ i assured her. I felt her body relax and she smiled. 

¨I love you too¨ she replied. ¨Now lets get dressed¨ she added. 

We both stood up and grabbed dresses, hers being pink, mine blue. I slipped my on and she did the same. We then worked hours on our hair and make up and by time we were done it was 4:30 so we decided to go ahead and go. We slipped on our converses and went outside. 

¨I know we're in dresses and everything..but i want to skate¨ Alex stated. 

¨yeah me too¨ i agreed with a smile. We grabbed the skate boards and began down the side walk. A couple people looked at us in shock and surprise while others just smiled. We got to the coffee place and order our cups. I looked at the time.. 4:49

Once we got our cups we went outside and sat at a table drinking. 

¨You look beautiful¨ i assured her and she looked up and smiled. I could tell she was nervous just by the way she kept biting her lip and messing with her bracelet. 

¨E-Embry?¨ I heard a voice behind me mumble in shock. I turned around to see Devin. She was still pretty, but nothing like Alex. 

¨Devin.¨ i said in a whisper but was supposed to come out strong. 

¨H-Hi..¨ she muttered as she pulled out a chair and sat down. I looked at Alex and smiled and she nervously smiled back.

¨I..I have to go to the bathroom, i'll be back¨ she said and got up and left the table. I frowned. 

¨Whos that?¨ she asked

¨Thats my girlfriend¨ i replied strongly, she looked hurt as the words left my mouth. 

¨o-oh..¨ she trailed off. Moments later Alex came back out. 

¨I have to go sorry bye¨ Devin muttered and then stood up and darted away. I sighed and turned to Alex and hugged her tight. 

¨I love you¨ i told her 

¨I love you too..¨
