City lights, far too bright
The burning glow of a plastic flame
Midnight skies fade out of sight
Open eyes are closed again
The stars replaced by electric waste
Cars like fireflies in the night
Pillars of glass and steel
Illuminated by blue and white
A humming glow that hurts my eyes
These artificial stars
that render me blind
