Recently some people in my life have passed away rather suddenly and unexpectedly. This is difficult to deal with, as expected. Everyday I see or hear something that reminds me of the lives that ended too soon. Sometimes this is bittersweet and sometimes it tears my heart into thousands of pieces. Learning to deal with death is always difficult and not something we ever want to be good at, because that comes with practice.
Ive had to learn quickly that when things like this happen you must hold those you love closer. That there will be days when something small seems like the end of the world because he did it the same way, some roads will be impossible to take and that song will always make you cry. I've also learned that there will be a day when their spirt will come to you and help you understand your purpose here or comfort you when you are down.
There will be a day where the memories aren't bittersweet and you can talk freely about the lovely person you wish you could introduce to others.
Dealing with death is never easy and never something we want to be good at. Which is why it is important to reach out when we are struggling to cope with it.
