My Skin Care Routine

It's almost exam week: that means I'm studying like a madwoman, trying to make summaries and revise new material at the same time, God forbid I forget to do an assignment. So in lieu of a chapter that's actually helpful I'm just going to share my skincare routine.

IN THE MORNING

The first thing I will do is wash my face. I use OLAY foaming oil minimizing face wash, I'll wet my face, rub the soap in and rinse off with a warm face towel to manually exfoliate my face.

Next I use the Wal-Mart brand salycilic toner ( 2%) on a cotton pad all over my face to remove any traces of face wash

And to finish off my morning routine I use Aveeno  fresh essentials moisturizer with SPF 15 as a primer for my makeup.

If we're being honest I can't be bothered to put an extraordinary amount of effort into my face. I want to look like I got a full nights sleep ( even if I didn't) and a little put together. I keep my makeup light pretty neutral, warm browns, pinks and peaches. I fill in my baby eyebrows and put on a bit of black mascara on and finish my face with some bronzer and highlighter.

IN THE EVENING

I get home and IMMEDIATELY remove my makeup, I mean immediately, if I don't I often forget ( and that's so bad for your face) I use the same face wash I do in the morning and wash my face.

Three times a week I use the Fresh rose petal face mask, I use a clean brush to brush it on and leave it until my nightly tea is ready. I then wash my face again ( using only water)

once my face is clean again I apply the age defy drops from the body shop let it soak in and apply a light SPF free moisturizer to my face.

OTHER THINGS I DO

It may seem like the " miracle " cure for everything but I drink a lot of water, I swear it makes my skin glow! Now this tip is the hardest to do: try not to touch your face unless your hands are clean. It keeps the bacteria on your hands from all the things you touch off your face. And finally, try to eat healthy, don't deprive yourself but also don't eat ice cream every day. I personally try to get one fruit or Veg in at every meal and eat an apple as a snack once a day, these are filled with good nutrients and help make your skin extra glowy
