For once I am grateful that Maxine and Stanford are in the tropics instead of Gleeful Manor, but I know it won't be long until they arrive back here.
Gleeful Manor is huge when I pull into the driveway, but I already know how gigantic it seems, but I've never actually been inside of the Manor itself.
It is indeed humongous when I step inside the building for the first time. I stare in awe at the tall ceiling and how the building was put together. I know that I'll need a room here, so I venture upstairs to find an empty one to claim for myself. I dunno how long I'll be here, and it might be for the rest of my life, but I'll make it through.

"Pacifica? Wake up,"
I get startled awake and I fly from my bed to search the room. Only, of course I know, that I am not in my room. "Who's there?" I demand, only freaking out a little.
"It's me, you moron." Dipper's scornful voice brings relief to me, and I dunno why. "I see that you've already picked your room."
"Yes," I whisper, "I hope you don't mind-"
"It's fine," he assures me, and for some reason, I feel safe here. "Get some rest,"
"What time is it?" I ask, looking for my phone which I know I brought with me.
"Nearly midnight," he says over his shoulder as he walks from the room, only of course he comes back, "I almost forgot something." He takes my left hand and slides the most beautiful diamond ring I have ever seen in my life over my ring finger. "There, now it's official." He drops my hand and leaves me in the dark alone for the night.
I know I shouldn't gape at the ring, but I can't help but stare at the diamonds lining it. It's so beautiful, too beautiful for me. "Remember Pacifica," I tell myself as I lie back down on the bed, "this is only for publicity. You don't need to think that you're actually getting married to him." I close my eyes and try to fall asleep, dreaming of a dysfunctional wedding.

Morning came faster than I imagined and I was dreading the day to work. I hope no one notices the ring, but I know that only everyone will notice it. I also hope that Dipper doesn't say anything about it at work. That would be humiliating.
I walk down the stairs and proceed into the kitchen to make myself some breakfast, knowing that I'll need the strength for the day of torture.
After a quick breakfast, I walk back upstairs to my 'room' and it hits me that I don't actually have anything to wear for today. I'd have to go shopping or pack things up at my old place. I did have that pair of jeans in my car, and I am almost positive that I have a nice shirt as well. I brush my hair and teeth before heading back out to my car.
Once I pulled my clothes on, I head downstairs for what is probably the fifth time, and this time I actually bump into Dipper. "Sorry," I murmur.
"Watch where you're going!" He snaps before heading into the bathroom across from my room. "Moron."
I shrug off his words and head down to my car. I pray that work will be easy, and that no one will question my sudden engagement, but I can always lie and say that it's someone they haven't met before.

"Ooh!" Trinity's voice brings me around to reality. "Pretty engagement ring! When's the wedding?"
I unclench my teeth and smile at her, "we haven't discussed a date but I've always wanted a New Years Eve wedding." I tell her as I twirl my ring around my finger.
"That would be spectacular!" She coos. "So, who's the lucky man?"
Just then, my 'lucky man' walks through the doors of the elevator and pauses as he sees me. He walks up to me and I shout at him in my head for being so stupid. "Make sure you're home early tonight, we're going out for dinner," he kisses my cheek and walks into his office.
Trinity's mouth is wide open when Dipper's office door finally closes. "No freaking way," she says shock written all over her face, it was plain as day. "You. . .and him?!"
I force myself to nod, "yes, he and. . .I."
"How long has this been going on?!" She demands, "don't spare any details!"
"Well, we've been going out for awhile now, I was beginning to wonder when he'd pop the question," I lie with another phony smile. "He's incredible isn't he?"
"He's hot," Trinity says with a grin, "you're so lucky, Pacifica."
"I know," I whisper, "I know."
"You'd better invite me to the wedding!" She practically squeals in my ear. "I should help you plan everything!"
My horror is disguised pretty well but I know it won't be for long. I gulp before I continue, "right. Trinity, I should get to work."
"Right, you wouldn't want to make your fiance mad!" She giggles and pushes me off. "I can't wait to tell everyone that you're engaged!"
Mabel, the brown haired bitch, walks in at this exact moment. "I thought you said you were single, isn't that what you said at the wedding?"
I gulp and look between the two girls, "I didn't feel like explaining my personal life to someone I barely knew," I bite back a triumphant grin.
"I'm surprised you dunno, Mabel," Trinity says, "she's engaged to your brother!"
