Liar

Chapter Seven.

Uni pulled the handle of the painted blue metal door that led to the kitchen, that he wanted to explore. When it barely even budged he had yanked again, hard enough to cause the door to open with a small screech from is as the metal rubbed against the wall. He cautiously walked in, he had goosebumps running up his arms and his spine tingled. Uni let out a sigh in disappointment when he saw that every crumb of food was gone, the cabnit doors were left wide open as well.

He continued to wander around the kitchen till he stopped im his tracks as his eyes met a wall with red words colored on. In bold, bloodied words, it read "Everyone will die" and "We were lied to."

Uni tensed at and turned around, before he had a chance to call out to his friends to inform them on what he was seeing, a black blur rushed past him and knocked him off his feet. He grunted when he hit the ground and his head exploded in pain as it made harsh contact with the cold stone floor. His vision blurred and he struggled to see clearly at whoever, whatever was staring down at him with deep red eyes.

"Hey, where's Uni?"Dawn asked as he looked around, everyone looked towards Dawn and wondered the same thing.

"I'm sure I saw him go into the kitchen. Hey Uni, come back over here!"Tommy says, shouting for Uni. The others shushed him, but did wait for a response.

"Let's go check on him."Nick said with a small frown at his lack of response to them. They all walked to the kitchen, the door was wide open and the went in.

"Uni!"Cory says in surprise as he sees his friend on the ground unconscious. He rushed over and knelt down, "Buddy, you okay?"

The others soon saw what made Cory surprised and the rushed over as well, tapping him and shaking him to wake up. Uni groaned after a few attempts and Cory helped him sit up. Uni held a hand to the back of his head in pain.

"What happened?"Ashlie asked, worried for her friend.

"Something-.. Someone pushed me over and I hit my head pretty hard.."Uni answered after a moment, he stayed rubbing the back of his head.

"What? Are you sure?"Dawn asked, Uni nodded.

"Guys, we really need to find a way outta here. We're not alone here, and if whoever it is is going around attacking, we definitely shouldn't be here."Ashlie proclaimed.

"Agreed."

They left the cafeteria after they all had their turn worrying over Uni even after he had protested and assured them that he was fine. They all stood in front of the eerie stairwell that none of the wanted to go up.

"I don't know about you guys, but I'm going up."Uni says, determined. He really wanted to go back to what was he bedroom, he knew this place was where all his bad memories came from and he wanted to know what happened.

He started going up the stairs, after his sixth step he turned around to see his friends hesitating to follow. He rolls his eyes and continued, only then does he hear the soft steps of his friends.

Everyone seemed to just follow Uni after that, it was odd, however. To them, it was as if he had been there before and he knew the way around, but that couldn't have been the case. Right?

Uni pushed open a door on the second level, it creaked open and his heart practically shattered at what he saw. It was his old room, the paint was peeled and scratched out on the walls and the bunk beds were still there, the sheets were torn and hanging off the beds.

On the wall however was a carving, it simply read "Friends don't die on eachother." Uni smiled fondly to himself and made sure the others didn't see his smile. It soon faltered when he saw a old teddy bear on the ground, a eye was removed and grime covering it.

Uni woke up from a nightmare, sniffling and in tears. He had a grip on the edge of his blankets and dug his wet face into it to dry his tears away. He heard one of his fellow roommates move and the bed creaked.

"Uni?"He heard Max call out, Uni looked down from his top bunk
to see Max looking up at him from the other bed on the bottom bunk.

"I-I'm fine."Uni sniffles.

"No you're not! What's wrong?"Flora asked, worried.

"I-It wa-was just a nightmare..."Uni said quietly. Soon the two older kids sat on the bunk with him, Blair had woken up to and was on the other bed next to him.

"What was it about?"Blair asked curiously.

"M-My parents..."He mumbled out, the others felt sympathy as they were told about what he saw.

"Wanna talk about it?"Flora asked, Uni shook his head. She frowned, but understood.

"Here!"Blair said cheerfully, she handed/tossed a brown teddy bear over to Uni.

Uni looked surprised at her little gift, "I- are you sure?"

Blair nodded excitedly and offered him a bright smile, Flora and Max share a amused look and they say goodnight and go back down to their own beds.

Uni stared at the bear but teared his eyes away and wandered around the room while the other peeked around curiously.

"This is really creepy..."Nick muttered a he edged towards the door, "This definitely isn't the exit anyway."

"Let's continue, I guess."Uni says as he left the room, his heart ached and he felt tears prick his eyes. He was glad that his friends were behind him and not able to see his sadness at this place, this nightmare.
