My skirt brushed against the floors as I ran. I ran past everyone that got in my way and no one dared to try and stop me.

I knew what to do.

I decended down the spiral stairwell to my destination. Once I reached the bottom of the stairs I breathed a great sigh.

"Heath!" I yelled as I walked towards his cell.

I finally figured out what to do. My father's words were all I needed to push me to it. All I had to do was-

I stood in front of Heath's cell but he was no where to be found.

"Heath?" I called out again but there was only silence. "Heath, please don't be gone." I felt my heartbeat quicken in my desperate attempt to find him.

But I knew.

I had told him to leave,  to be free, and now he is. I have no one to accuse but myself.

I did the right thing though. Heath wanted to leave. I just wish he could've taken me with him.

"You rang, little princess?" Heath whispered behind me, causing me to jolt forward.

There he stood, with his hands in his pockets and a grin on his lips. His eyes shining with mischief that I oh so missed.

"You're here." I could barely breathe as I felt the world fall off of my shoulders for that short moment. "You're actually here."

"I never left, Milady. I could never leave such a saddened princess to meet her fate alone." Heath stepped forward and removed the veil that covered my face. "Hm. I've always thought that when I lifted the veil of a beautiful lady, she would be the one I married. Funny how things turn out, isn't it, princess?" Heath smirked down at me.

I knew what he did was meant to provoke me, but I didn't care. My fate could be changed forever now that he's here.

Before I could even stop myself, I lunged forward and threw my arms around him.

"I can't believe it. You actually stayed." I felt my voice quiver but I just held him tighter and hoped he wouldn't disappear. I needed all of this to be real.

"You know, if you keep getting too comfortable around me, I might not act like such a gentleman. Come to think of  it, you're more informal than last time. What's gotten into you, princess?" Heath pried me away so he could look at me. His eyes held concern in them but all I could do was smile.

"I've never been happier than I am right now. Heath, I have a request." I took a step back and straightened my posture. "I want you to take me with you."

Heath stood there for a brief moment, looking unfazed, before he bellowed out a heartfilled laugh.

"What's so humorous? I was being serious, Heath. I want to leave with you. I have business to take care off but I can't do that if I'm here." I tried to reason with him but he continued to laugh. He laughed to the point he was bent over, holding his stomach.

"Heath! Be serious for a moment! I have to save my kingdom! Don't you understand that? My people are in danger. I can't sit around here and twiddle my thumbs. I have to do something." My fist curled up as I seethed in anger.

"And just what do you have planned once we get out of here, your highness? Overthrowing Tallenor? Becoming a big hero? Saving the day? Please. Don't make me laugh." Heath composed himself, yet still had a toothy grin to flash me.

"No, actually. I plan on getting someone else to do it for me. I am just a young lady,  after all." I smiled deviously at him and removed my veil and tiara from my head. I took a glance at the tiara my mother had given me as a rush of emotions filled my heart.
